In terms of realistic changes (as AJ, PD and DH obviously aren’t going anywhere), I’d be getting Skelton out the door as soon as possible. I’m sure he is a “lovely lad” and “Carlisle through and through” but it’s just not working.

Clough makes Eric Gates look slim and committed. [censored] disgrace

Since Millen arrived he has persevered with team that Beech used and shock horror same results. Surely the time has arrived to try something different.

With injuries, not much we can do?

Apart from Charters, Bell and Fishburn?

The current team are a strange bunch. We seem to have several players who have some sort of ability but who are mentally very weak.
Whereby I understand the manager is ultimately responsible, how can players continually fail to shoot or cross accurately when they have the ability to do so?
It was a bit ridiculous tonight. What numpties. Can players not have their contracts cancelled for failure to carry out basic requirements of their roles?

Worrying thing for me is I do not think the team are playing too far off their best; they are just clearly not good enough.

Attack is our biggest issue, not defence. Attack needs resolved as soon as possible.

Millen on BBC Radio Cumbria after the match said he was angry and it wasn't for the lack of chances to score. The number of misplaced passes was unacceptable. I like Millen but he has inherited a very poor squad from Beech. Jordan Gibson is fighting a one man battle trying to create chances then rushing back to try and help in defence. Today our midfield was the biggest shambles which Harrogate exploited and they should have scored a third.

The mentally weak point is a good one. How often do we hear that they're not vocal and assertive on the pitch.

Possibly Beech didn't want 'big characters' at the club. Perhaps he wanted players who wouldn't question his decisions. That might be understandable for someone new to management. We'll never know I suppose.

Beech oversold himself and was brought in on the promise he could find young players and sell them at a profit. The board looked to him to dig them out of a financial hole. Our wonderful director of football could then spin it that he made the club a few quid. All three parties had their own agenda.
Unfortunately for the players brought in, they lacked the quality promised apart from a couple of them. The board, director of football and manager rubbed their hands together when a few pieces of silver hit the mat for those players.
It will probably cost them more to save the club than those few pieces of silver. You reap what you sow.
The quality of players on our books is the problem and we do not have the cheque book required
To address the situation.Sadly I feel the game is up unless a new board with new money can take over quickly.Probably impossible.

But this squad is as strong as last season’s the club says so so we should believe it…
Now 5 points adrift of the 4th bottom team there’s only one way this season is ending . A football club that was on the up totally ruined by Jenkins Nixon and Pattison. And this shamble was predicted when they took over.

It's time for members of The Trust, or whatever they're called these days to have a vote to instruct its (The Trust's) board members to send a vote of no confidence to the main board and be prepared to resign their positions in protest at the direction of the club. The Trust cannot be complicit in watching the club go to the dogs.

Dinzeyi & Feeney have looked like an excellent central defensive partnership in trophy games.

That frees Whelan up to potentially play in midfield to give us a bit of spine.

Fishburn and Young deserve a run of starts together after turning the FA Cup tie.

We've had good results in the trophy and we've been scoring goals, why not pick a similar side for league games?

Is that not because we have been playing our best team against teams who aren’t taking it seriously and/or selecting weaker teams?

We simply aren’t good enough and need to strengthen ASAP-who will blink first and spend some cash?

Chris Lumsdon answered that question during the game Piglet.
Devine was superb against Morecambe but struggled last night, he said that the trophy and a league game were entirely different animals which is why he was struggling.
You keep punting the young ones but when given the opportunity they blow it, there are reasons why an experienced manager like Millen doesn’t do that.
They aren’t yet good enough and we need points on the board now.
I couldn't get to the game so listened on the radio and one of the saddest things last night was hearing Chris Lumsdon co-commentate.
Clearly a passionate fan of the club and cares deeply for it and he was just lost for words on so many occasions.
You could just hear the despair in his voice and at times hopelessness.
Quite moving at times, I thought. Need people like him involved inside the club really.
Desperate, desperate days.
