We should be far too good for for these lot on paper. :)

I'm going for a comfortable 3-1 victory.

Mellish, Allesandra and Zanzala. Andrew with a late consolation for the hosts.

This will be our first visit to Holker Street for a competitive game since 16th March 1964 when we got a 2-2 draw in front of 2,365 spectators.

I remember it well. :D

Barrow 1-2 Carlisle

Zanzala early in the first half, Hayden header mid-second half, Devitt a late consolation from a free-kick.

If Newport get beat at Mansfield tonight and Exeter fail to win at Cambridge tomorrow and providing we can win at Barrow we could be in the play offs come 4.45 tomorrow night with our fate in our own hands.

An unlikely scenario a fortnight ago!

I always felt that Thirlwell was one of the most incompetent players to play for us, and we've had a few.

Every game he played he looked like he would gift the opposition a goal as he was so slow to react and so slow to plug a gap.

And as for playing him as a defensive liability or expecting him to play a decisive forward pass...

I agree re Thirlwell. Nothing I hate more than people wanking about someone passing a ball two yards and claiming those who dont appreciate this are thickos.
Anyhow Barrow 2 Carlisle 4.
In a way the pressure is off both sides and you would like to see an open attacking game between two teams in relatively good form.
Should be a cracker.

1-0 Just when you think Carlisle have turned the corner they have a habit of kicking you in the nuts.
I hope i am wrong though.

We should be too good for them, again, who wants it the most. 1 1

Barrow 2 - 0 Carlisle United

As Bollo would say 'I have got a bad feeling about this' - I thought that we would win but not so sure now for some reason.

Difficult to predict without knowing if Joe Riley has recovered from his knock against Scunthorpe, he's that important to the team at this time. Word of warning, they have a long throw specialist in their ranks (defender Bobby Thomas) who turned the tables on Cheltenham down at their place recently. How we cope with them (assuming it's used) could be important - we didn't cover ourselves with any glory at Brunton Park when Ben Tozer was hurling bombs for CTFC into our box.

1-3 to us, they are a decent side I just think with our full backs going forward we’ll constantly have 2 on 1s down the wing all game.

They’re not really a decent side though. No excuse for not winning this one.

One of the worst teams I’ve seen this season and the league table reflects this. Having said this they won’t roll over without a fight. :D

Thought they gave us a game at BP, to be fair, and they’re a better side than Colchester, Southend, Grimsby, Walsall etc from what I’ve seen. Their form of late is hardly terrible either.

They were abysmal at BP against ten men. Would never have scored if they had still been playing!

Only Southend and Crawley have been worse.

Yes-they weren't too clever at BT but that's not the case now.
Anyway I'm confident and going for Barrow 0-4 United. Play offs here we come.

That's a bit naughty 'Dancing' what you got against them?
I'd rather have them in the league, rather than Southend and a 7 hour trip on a cold, wet, miserable Tuesday night.

Well my latest is probably that for the last few months of his life my old dad didn’t get to listen to us much as he used to use channel 721 on free view which since their promotion Barrow were usually on instead.

Barrow are the 21st best side in League Two, the worst of the sides we have left to play.

very unlikely Barrow will be relegated, Southend need 7 points to overtake Barrow as it stands with only 6 to play.
