Kessler wrote: The reason I asked was because my comment for CUOSC was not technically a question and therefore I don't know if it's allowed to be included. As someone who criticizes a lot, I feel it's important to also give credit where its due and CUOSC have done well by taking up Mullens offer of revamping the website. I did mention this at the time I asked for it to be included but none of the mods clarified, so all I'm after is a simply yes/no was it allowed? If it was then good, if not I just pass along the thanks personally.

You have thanked Mullen on here and you can surely thank CUOSC and Mullen again on their new website.

So why want to bring it up again at a CUSG meeting, unless you simply seek a pat on the back from all others who dont read this message board sigh.

Maybe he wants to know who you are so he can confirm what most (okay me) suspect, that you are a troll constatntly hijacking threads for some sick pleasure, or that you are somehow involved with the club, constantly trying to create a smokescreen around the CUSG meetings.
What with as many droll, meaningless, repeated questions and Clibbens 32 page replies, it is far too convenient and well timed not to be deliberate.
Either that, or you are the most boring person in the world.
The shit about worrying NS will come round and hammer you is clearly bullshit, as others have offered to verify you if you tell them who you are without NS getting to know.

You're right to be cautious Kessler. Tim (Phoenix) was so traumatized by Barry's threats that he found he had no option but to emigrate from Sheffield to Canada.
I travelled in a car with Barry for about 12 hours and I was constantly worried that I would get out alive.

I ask difficult questions because I think fans have a right to know the answers. That's the point of the Q&A. How would it help them for me to be asking difficult questions they often can't provide a proper answer to? Do you think fans shouldn't ask questions? I suspected there might be a campaign to try and discredit me or to suggest I have another agenda, and I think I know where the accusations of troll have originated from. My only agenda is to try and save the club and make it successful. I put my faith in fans to realize that. Look at the points I make, properly consider them, and decide whether you agree or not.

You are correct on the english Barry - I spotted it immediately but no "edit" button. I stopped posting for a long while as I got tired of CUFC - but its a disease I tell you and we are all doomed. Plus the quality of the message board is not too good - a far cry from the hey day of footy mad. Cheers

So I was right and it was you then. I know what you mean about that i.m happy to do half a dozen away games with a good crack each year and leave it at that.

Dunno whether you know but I stayed off here for 6 months last year and I really didn't miss it. But you're right its not a patch on the good old days of the MB.

Anyway, hows things with you ? Take it you're still over here ? So where you based now Leeds or Carlisle ?

Chuff me, 14 at the meeting now, with one apology. At this rate, with friends and family, there are going to be more inside the tent scared to criticise the club than supporters (slight exageration, but you get the point).
In the 10 pages of dross and waffle (at least down from 32), one interesting point that Clibbens inadvertently points out (not as clever as he thinks obvioulsy) is that nearly 50% of clubs break even or make money, which surprised me;
If you look at the accounts for L2 in the season 17/18 (year ends around June 2018):
• 13 of the 24 clubs L2 made losses totalling £15.6m in L2 (including CUFC).
• 5 broadly broke even.

And they know who Kessler is, but I read it that she/he/it is not necessarily a steward (but could be me).

I’m not sure how else he’s supposed to answer that question ?

Would you come out and publicly slate your boss via something shared through your employers media channels ?

Think he’s acted with integrity and answered it to the best of his ability.

There’s definitely too many cooks in that group now, there’s no need for 2 representatives never mind 3 in some cases.
I still don’t get how this Scottish supporter gets to be there and it looks as if other people have taken it upon themselves to associate with groups for no reason, it stinks of people who just want to be seen as in with the clique.

I have to agree - considering the amount of stuff that has(nt) been done.

I can see the need for two reps(3 is too many) but the problem is there’s too many groups. It’s also full of people that have been part of these things for years, but haven’t achieved much. Not so much a clique but really being part of something.

From the minutes all we seem to read are “on hold” and “stalled” now this isn’t the groups problem. Again it’s not the disabled groups issue, but it seems everything they propose gets stalled.

Dan and Mouldy, seem pro active to me and have giving the group a kick up the arse. Before it was really shit but some things have been achieved.

I don’t see the point of the Scottish supporter, there’s never anything in the minutes about bringing anything to the meeting.

The SLO (Geoff) was/is bloody awful. I’m sorry for being blunt but the social media, prior to the revamp, was awful. Also those using his services gave up and just did it themselves.

At least we’re not Stockport

Seems odd, some may say a tad racist..why wouldn't he/they come under another group.

I’ve got hundreds of followers on twitter many of whom go to matches do I qualify for a place on the top table? It’s not that he’s Scottish my mother was from Glasgow, it just seems there’s too many people there who bring nothing to the table, from the outside looking in there’s only London branch and yourselves (probably Matt) :-) doing anything of worth.

Mullen, you’ve picked up on the social media push - which is good. The criticism of social media use can be directed to CUSG as a whole too.

We’ve taken on the mantle of socials and will be seeing a revamp of the CUSG Twitter next, then the Facebook will be active and then an instagram account. We certainly recognise that not all fans use social channels, but a hell of a lot certainly do!

If folk haven’t seen the new @CUFC_SLO Twitter account please check it out and give it a follow.

Not sure how that will work mouldy. The idea of social media (to an old [censored] like me) is to spread news items in a timely manner to the masses. Presumably all posts will have to be commented on by the multitude of hangers on and the club before issue?
The club even have a media man who is not allowed to post game action.
