You’ve just accepted that there is a possibility that the mods have a genuine reason not to discuss the ‘Barry thing’. Hallelujah!
This is what I mean about people not arguing in good faith. You're trying to catch me out and "win" the argument rather than reading what I've said in the full context. Yes I said there is a possibility that the mods might have a genuine reason for silence. But I then went on to say that I think it's extremely unlikely that such a possibility has occurred. The circumstances in which a gagging order might be issued don't seem applicable to Barry's situation.
Edited slightly to tidy up a sentence.
No Kess, I’m not ‘trying to catch you out’. Stop playing the victim. I pointed out your acknowledgment that their may be circumstances which justify their silence. That’s not done in ‘bad faith’, whatever spin you put on it.
Then why did you leave out what I said immediately afterwards, that the possibility was extremely unlikely? It felt like you were being intentionally misleading. Yes, I do acknowledge that in theory there are circumstances which might justify the mods silence, but that doesn't mean those circumstances are likely, or even remotely realistic.
You didn’t say it was ‘extremely unlikely’, just that you ‘doubted it’. That was your first admission that there may be other circumstances at play. Thus far you seem unable to acknowledge that there are further possibilities that you have not considered, but at least you’ve moderated your position by introducing a hint of doubt at long last.
Anyhow, I’ve allowed my self-isolation to get to me. Far too much interaction from me on this thread, and I’m leaving it alone for a while.
