Some users are asking me not to hijack other threads with this topic so I'll create my own thread for it here . Let's have a poll

Do you think the mods deleted Barrys posts?

Or you could ban him and have this site end up like a twitter echo chamber where everyone has the same views

For me what makes a forum interesting is the wide ranging number of different opinions. Everyone can contribute their own thoughts to the discussion and it's interesting to read them. On echo chambers like Reddit, there is rarely any such meaningful discussion. People curate and optimize their posts to gain maximum approval from other users, and repeat whatever the popular narrative in that echo chamber is. It's pathetic, and I can't help wonder how sad and desperately insecure people are if they are so reliant on validation from others.

You have to hand it to you Mullen , you scatter accusations like confetti.. First it was the trust , club then diversity Jim then when I pointed out its Nigel Davidson who does the diversity you now blame him . For a troll you have a real scatter gun approach

I've never blamed Jim or Nigel for getting Barry's posts removed. I've asked the mods if they were involved and that's a fair question considering the timing of their letter to Barry. I assumed that if the Trust were involved, it would be Jim who handled it. When you pointed out Nigel Davidson does the diversity stuff, I wondered could it be him.

But not that sad and desperately insecure that they continually have to 'like' their own posts.

:D

Say what you want about me but I am happy to post my genuine thoughts and opinions on stuff, knowing that a lot of it might be unpopular. I don't fish for compliments or approval unlike 99% of reddit and twitter.

Kes-you are divisive and frankly your opinions are borne of reading socialist crap without any hint of real life experience. That makes you [censored] unemployable in my world but you would do well in local government or teaching

Well that just shows how truly ignorant you really are then, as I am currently employed in the private sector. And I work hard, because I am treated well. My philosophy is that you get what you pay for, so any employer who is only prepared to pay minimum wage just gets my minimum effort. Current employer pays more and treats staff well, so am happy to go the extra mile.

As for reading material, I get the Financial Times each day and I don't think you could call that "socialist crap" at all.
‘More than minimum wage’ isn’t much of a yardstick. And reading the FT doesn’t make one an economist, just as reading something from the shop being discussed in another thread doesn’t make one a porn star.

It's a nicer atmosphere in general. Employees are treated with respect, made to feel valued, and in return are more willing to go the extra mile. A good lesson for the Mike Ashley types who pay the minimum they can get away with, treat staff like shit, while expecting them to devote their life to the job.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Reading about economics, or any subject, increases your knowledge and your understanding of that subject. Looking at porn doesn't physically make you a porn star :D

Not if you are reading without comprehension.

Not if you are reading without comprehension.

And let me guess, you'll say you think that's what I do?

You are becoming extremely predictable with your routine.

A man once told me a saying about something that describes you Kessler, you know all about the viscosity of jam but have no idea how to get the lid off the pot . Or similar it was a long time ago

No, you started this by saying I was unemployable. I then simply corrected your lack of knowledge.

I've seen your type before Laffy, businessmen with more front than Brighton used to people hanging on their every word. The second someone challenges or disagrees with you on an issue you get quite vicious and attack them personally (like starting a thread attacking them!) and expect that they'll back down, because you're used to people kowtowing to you in the business world. I see right through your waffle and humble brags.

Funny how Bob asked Mullen and you answered.

Rubbish Kessler read your own stuff . You blamed it on diversity Jim just the other day .

I knew by the content of your post that it was aimed at me. You addressing it to Mullen was just you playing your silly childish games as usual and implying I have more than one account.

Where did I say that? Quote it.

Was it Diversity Jim who approached the mods asking them to delete Barry's posts?

Diversity Jim, the Champion Of Inclusion, who believes so passionately in political correctness that he waited a full 7 days after the first fans forum to start insulting a moderator about their weight.

Valid reason for edit: corrected a spelling mistake in "passionately"

Wasnt too hard Tim, was it?

I asked if it was Jim who contacted the mods about deleting his posts, I didn't accuse him of anything.

Interesting. For about 5 minutes, it seemed I was banned. Wasn't allowed to post any replies or create new threads. Now suddenly the issue has resolved itself. A naughty mod grabbed the banstick before having it taken away by the more responsible mods perhaps? Or another software glitch? Where is that much vaunted EasyDiscuss support to help resolve the plethora of software glitches plaguing this site? :D
