McKirdy wouldn’t have wanted his contract renewed here even if we’d wanted him to stay. He clearly [censored] hated the club and the fans.

Aye he didn't seem very happy. Beechy didn't seem to like him much.

Quite an exciting player though and scored 11 goals that season he was here.

Struggled at Port Vale for whatever reason but seems to have fitted in well at Swindon. 10 goals already.

McKirdy is an instinctive player with no filter. If he thinks the manager is a knob he will tell him. That makes him unmanageable for all but a few higher level managers. His unpredictability makes him an exciting player to watch and difficult to defend against. You can see his manager has coached him on his positioning in the box. He is Johnny on the spot and reacts much quicker than anyone else to opportunities. His second goal against Northampton was sublime and showed his technical ability and will have attracted attention from clubs higher up the leagues.

I reckon Millen would have had the nous to keep him happy but Beechy was well out of his depth and McKirdy probably told him.

PMSL at the guy in the disabled enclosure giving him the wnaker sign when he celebrates his fourth goal. (Mckirdy needs to lose that ponytail he looks like a younger francis rossi)

That was my first thought, it does make him look a bigger [censored] than ever.

But on the other hand, his game is all about being a massive [censored] so maybe he should keep it. It's peak McKirdy.

I wouldn't be surprised if Harrogate loaned out Mark Beck to either Colchester or Scunthorpe who are looking for a target man. Harrogate didn't play badly against Newport today but they need more pace up front. Beck came on as a substitute for a few minutes and looked like a player 10 years older.

Top transfer target Kevin Wighton has joined Arbroath from Dunfermline, bracing. Two one winners at Raith today.

Hartlepool have taken to playing 5 across the back away from home to stem defeats. It'll be harder on Tuesday after Jamie Sterry was sent off today. Booked for a foul off the ball, he then committed a professional foul in the last minute. Nick Anderton was brought on in the 90+1 minute in that game, making an invaluable contribution.

Ashley Nadeson scored and missed a penalty yesterday for Crawley.
Cliftonville Vs Glentoran on Sky tonight, Daniel Kearns is at Cliftonville these days so a bit of ex player interest here. I went to watch the Glen's when I moved over here, they had a midfield destroyer called Will Mcdonagh. Oh how I laughed when I saw his name on the teamsheet .
