Keith Curle working his magic at Hartlepool. Five points from 3 games. Bad news for Saturday!

I prefer the fact they've won a game now. We all know what the laws of football say when we play a side which haven't won in ten games.

Can still remember when Halifax came to Brunton park not having scored a away goal all season and tanked is 3-0. Similar things have tended to happen ever since.

Billy Barr and Steve Norris scored that day IIRC.

There's a piece about the 8-game Halifax goal drought and how it ended 13/10/90 at Brunton Park here.

Didn't old [censored] Norris score a hat-trick?

Apparently not :)

Still couldn't be bothered in a blue shirt.

It was Barr (10), Norris (18) and Graham just before the break.

More remarkably, we let him go after spending around £60-£70k on him earlier in the year, as part of a player exchange involving a certain Tony Fyfe! :o

Not remarkably at all. He was an incredibly poor player for us, zero effort and played like he didn't care. He obviously didn't want to be at our club but happily picked up a wage.

Remember his miss at Hartlepool away, two yards out - open goal. Possibly the worst miss I've ever seen at any level of football.

Then he signs for Halifax and one week later he's suddenly the tier four equivalent of Gary Lineker. 100% solid cock.

Jon Colman has just tweeted about Nathan Thomas signing for York.
I really enjoyed watching him play - a matchwinner on his day.
Lovely touch, technically very good and good balance.
Really memorable night being at FGR watching him score a hat-trick.
Perhaps not sure he's really done his talent justice.
Hope he does well there. Always room in the game for me for an old fashioned player like Thomas.
Not sure he stacks up well though in an era of GPS vests...

Just saw that, brilliant save in extra time, got down well.

You'd expect a Premier League keeper to save that, wouldn't you?

Annan now bottom of the pub league in Scotland. Laughable to think there were those who were putting Murphy’s name forward for the Carlisle job not too long ago!

FSB, I feel we owe Annan one after our recruitment of Moxon. Murphy did us a favor so maybe in January we can loan some of our players. Thinking of Bell, Carr, Nugent and maybe Bolado.

Hayden’s scored again tonight for Wrexham, that’s 6 in 6 in the league. 9th of the season in just 18 games after scoring 8 last season. Not bad going for a centre-back.

Do we have a sell on clause.

I don't reckon Murphy's done a bad job at Annan over his tenure there, despite their league position currently, given their relative size for the level.

I remember he came on as a centre forward in his first game on trial! :D
