Premier League was created by Urban Designer
Looks like the title race is over but to say Man City are one of the best ever teams is a joke. They are boring to watch and you rarely see them take a player on. If they had played Barcelona this season they would have been murdered.

Premier League teams give them too much respect and just sit back and watch them play tippy tappy. The only teams t o have a real go in the last couple of years have beat - Tottenham and Liverpool in the Champions League. Money laundered arab team with 20,000 plastic fans and when was Blue [censored] Moon a football song?!

Aye they are poor. 14 wins in a row, 100 goals this season and 195 points in two season.

They have had to grind it out lately but so did Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool back in the day so that's nowt new

Their points totals last season and this season are ridiculous. 100 points last season, possibly 98 points this season. No premier league team has been that consistent over a 2 year period in my life time.

But if we’re talking abroad as well, best football team I’ve seen in my life time (by a mile) is Guardiola’s Barcelona team of 2009 to 2011.

Great team - arguably the second best on the planet.
48 wins this season in total.
159 goals this season total.
If they win at Brighton on Sunday and then at Wembley against Watford they'll do something no English team has ever done - a domestic treble.
195 points in 2 seasons is just papering over the cracks though eh?

Still haven't even come close to winning the Champion's League and have no real rivals in England. Until the Arab money launderer came in they were nothing but a yo-yo side between first and 2nd tier. Even the manager says the fans are not ready to be European Champions - probably the worst atmosphere in the Premier League.

Liverpool in the 80's, Man Utd in the 90s and Arsenal and Chelsea in the 00's were much better teams to watch.

Obviously you all listen to talk sport and watch to much BT. Im a city fan, my dads a city fan and my grandad is a city fan. My dad was born in Manchester and went to every home game till they moved to scotland. You all slate city fans but lets face it we are a working class fan base and most of us can't afford to go week in week out thats why I support carlisle because this is where i have grown up and love. i get to city 5 times a year if I'm lucky. I can tel you that the majority of our fan base are mancunian or come from a city background. We say that you don't chose city, its chosen for you so get back to your armchairs while I'm getting fresh air.

Well said. Here is an example of ignorant media types slagging off city fans -the woman makes excellent points that are pretty hard to disagree with...and look at the reaction of the presenter. Disgraceful. City were regularly getting 25,000 in the 3rd tier - I hop[e these fans are loving the last few seasons.

Who are Manchester city rivals?
Man Utd saw them as Forest fans saw Notts County - a little cousin.

They have been nothing but as yo - yo team and even the real Man City fans admit its not the same as being a real football team,

Man City are boring to watch and would not be capable of producing a perforance with passion as Liverpool did tonight - even the manager knows this - not even plastic flags for plastic fans could generate an atmosphere.

Man City have 30,000 real fans like West Ham - that is there level. Ask real West Ham & City fans when the best atmosphere was? Man City had the best atmosphere against Gillingham in the League 1 play off final to get to the 2nd tier.

I remember that time Carlisle got 150 goals in a season, and my primary emotion was boredom.
City and their fans looked pretty passionate at home to Spurs in the champions league quarter final. Comparisons to West Ham are insulting - City won 9 major trophies in the 20th century, including 2 league titles - West Ham have never even finished as high as 2nd, and have only won 4 trophies ever; City have 17, which will almost certainly be 19 in less than 2 weeks time.

2 league titles, 4 FA Cups and 2 league Cups before the Arab money laundering money came in! Way behind Aston Villa, and probably the likes of Preston and Sunderland etc.

Was Tottenham Champions league defeat when the game away small plastic flags to every seat or was that when they couldn't even sell out their FA Cup semi final tickets?

Urban designer your telling me that you could afford on an average wage to watch your team play at wembley 3 times in one season with no trains home that night if it goes to extra time and a champions league game in london midweek. You obviously follow the lad bible or something and are a part time liverpool or united fan. Get a grip.

They were 90,000 Australian Liverpool fans - theres no way you would have 90,000 supporting Chelsea or Tottenham - all in their colours.

There are two global English team - Liverpool and Man Utd.

Man City and Chelsea are doing thier best to buy oversea fans but are nowhere near Liverpool and Man Utd no matter how much they have paid fb!

The lowest key title celebration I've ever seen - even the Man City players were saying "COME ON' to their fans who were almost silent.

I know a lot of true Man City fans who say the atmosphere was a lot better when they were in the 3rd division - look at the celebrations against Gillingham in the playoffs for a comparison.

Quite obvious you either weren't watching it or you had the sound down because we were belting out all our chants loud and proud. Champions again, 20 years on from 99, 51 years from 68. Players change, owners change and stadium change but the fans don't because we are all city till we die.

I didn't hear anything apart from Blue Moon which must be the shittest football song ever - yes even worse than CUFC's things can only get better or the only way is up!

Since City lost their 3rd league game out of 4 at Leicester on Boxing Day, their record in all comps reads:
Played 31
Won 28
Drew 1
Lost 2.

The draw was at Wembley when they won the league cup! They lost by a single goal at Newcastle in January, and subsequently won their last 14 league games in a row.
The other defeat was away to Spurs in the quarter final of the champions league, when Aguero missed a pen at 0-0. They could have been looking at a quadruple...but would 2 tough games v Ajax meant they dropped points v Leicester in the league game inbetween?
Anyway, that form is astonishing. Win on Saturday and there's a case to be made for them being the best ever English team.

I'm not a Man City Fan but this was the most dramatic League 1 (Premiership for you youngsters) game I ever watched. Now this was fan fervour from both sets of supporters. City pipping Man United to the League title on the last day of the Season. (United lost at home to Sunderland),

Never won it and will hopefully be banned.

I think Man City shade it over Liverpool. Better squad by far.

I thought they were quite good on Saturday for a team 'are boring to watch and you rarely see them take a player on'. :-D
