Well seems like a bit of attempted humour turning sour with the pc brigade only thinking racism..and the witchunt begins...as per usual.

But this is the price to pay if you go on social media these days and make the slightest remark you get branded a racist.

The world we live in these days is getting a little over sensitive.

I’ll be honest, I still don’t really get the joke he was going for with it. He’s been fired enough times from the BBC before, he’ll be back.

I think he probably got fired for his response. Instead of saying something like "Oops sorry, didn't realise how this could be construed, I'll delete this".

He said something more along the lines of "I didn't realise how this would be construed but you all have diseased minds for making the connection"

Aye i saw the pic, yep maybe a poor choice of picture(to the pc brigade) which he immediately said sorry for when questioned... but the frenzy ...some go into ... well total meltdown.

He wont be out of work long...

These days monkeys and bananas are no go areas for fear of upsetting people.

I'm enjoying the re-runs of Taggart on the Drama channel and the Sony Crime Channel, completely non-pc, no diversity unless they are foreign baddies and not afraid to make the occasional jibe at non-heterosexuals. Brilliant!!

Incredibly obvious that there would be some on here saying the reaction to it is over the top and bringing out terms like pc brigade.

You might not like it but absolutely everybody knows where the line is with these things. He's been around long enough that he should have known exactly what sort of response that picture was going to get, and it's only right that he's been sacked for it.

The absolute desperation of folk to find offense and be outraged would be funny if it weren't so damn tragic. It would be tragic if it wasn't so damn funny. Just reading a few comments on twitter is enough to cement how self-righteous these people are.

Imagine a world where he realised that it could be offensive to some people, apologised and everyone moved the [censored] on .

I personally don't associate Black people with primates i'm sure Danny Baker doesn't either .

BBC has disappeared up its own double standards arse yet again .
Remember when Lord Sugar got the boot for this tweet .

If it means that I would never have to 'subject' myself to abuse working for the BBC which means calling a kid a chimp - I would do the same myself to get out of there.

In fact I would have said the kid was Hitler to escalate my departure faster before I got arse raped from one of the Spring Watch Team.

We moan about censorship however but this site is one of of the worst for it - why should anyone take crap from the football club if it is genuine, give us something to cheer about and things will take care of themselves.

Oh - and Kessler, if you do not like my views you are more than happy to start your own message board and argue with yourself, do everyone a favour.

Obviously it was a stupid thing to do. In this case, though, I can't imagine he thought it would be a good idea to compare the royal baby to a monkey on the grounds of his racial background.
I don't get what the joke was supposed to be, but I doubt very much that this was his intention.
The Sugar thing referred to above was far worse.

182blue, Lord Sugar's tweet wasn't worse. He was drawing attention to the similar West African ethnicity of the football team and the beach hawkers of Marbella, Essex's adopted summer retreat. Ok, he can't do that now in pc Britain but I can't see that Sugar was being derogatory about either the footballers or the beach sellers. One of the reasons the beach sellers do so well is their magnificent physiques which women tourists admire when they inspect the handbags and sunglasses. How they can walk for 10 hours a day in 30 degree heat carrying dozens of handbags is remarkable. It brings to mind the evils of the slave trade but Sugar did not even get close to this with his tweet.

The rules are simple now, if you are a public figure you cannot make any joke or comment about ethnicity because someone will take offence.

It is amazing the wankfest over the birth by the press to be blunt. Why don't they devote the same amount of time to some real news instead of some American bint giving birth by cesarean? I mean is this Adam and Eve giving birth there are 130 million births a year on planet Earth for [censored]'s sake.

I recall in the not too distant past Edward VIII had to abdicate for marrying an American divorcee... if the same standards and rules existed then as now the birth would be a non-event!!!

For me all this is a storm in a PG Tips cup, but I think you're letting Sugar off very lightly there.

He was associating all people of that ethnicity with a menial, stereotypical occupation and thus belittling the players. Similar vibe to the Adebayor "his dad washes elephants" chant or implying that all Asians run corner shops.

Whereas I can believe Baker's gaffe was unintentional as he forgot Meghan's ethnic background, Sugar meant exactly what he said.

But, the hype raises the profile of a family who contribute almost £2,000,000,000 to the UK economy, at a cost to each taxpayer of penny's. Tell me which other tourist attraction gives a better return ?

Why was David Beckham on all the front pages when hundreds of others will have been fined for same offence this week? Why are footballers and actors paid millions of pounds and nurses and teachers peanuts in comparison? Why is Kim Kardashians big arse in the paper every other day? Why is TV and media clogged up with thick talentless so called reality TV "stars" and media whores?

Because the world is obsessed with celebrity!

David Attenborough warning everyone the world is disappearing up its arse on page 5 sharing a page with Joey Essex or some other fukwitt meanwhile the Beckham's or Kardashians or some other equally crucial newsworthy magastar hog the front pages

Absolutely - all newspapers/media do is report on what is demanded by their readers/viewers. We only have ourselves & our fellow folk to blame for the focus of the reporting.
