Of course he needs an Assistant!

We’re likely going from two to one, so we’ll be saving...

I've been told it's Paul Thirlwell.
Am not sure it's reliable info though.

I'd like Thirwell. But heard Skelton yesterday (also not reliable), and an even less reliable source said Grant Holt!!!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Holdsworth yet, seeing as that's who it is.

At least we're not Mullen.

There’s no ‘decided to leave’ in the Statement about him going!

Lets get rid of everyone till we only Have Holdsworth left.

Then he can sign the players, manage the team, write and sing the theme tune....

Not heard anything bad about Gav, sounds like a decent appointment in my book. And as the above poster says, by all accounts "hes a fantastic coach"

Pleased for Skelton - could have gone all tits up for him after what happened at Reds going back there then leaving so quickly. It's pretty clear that Pressley thinks very highly of him - he had him travelling to a lot of our away games with the squad last season and he was over watching Mellish a lot apparently.

Nothing wrong with offering a bit of progression for coaches throughout the club. I'd not be surprised if he was lined up for the top job in the future too.

The results could not have been any worse than Pressleys though.

Myself and many others would have been more than happy with TW and Murray till the end of the season and that would have been a proper cheap option but would have included continuity and not someone trying to stamp themselves on the club half way through the season as that clearly didn't work.

It is a fact that Pressley failed big time last season - unless his remit was to keep us in the league when we were fourth, if that is the case then he was a huge success.

Crap manager who is in with Holdsworth.

Glad both of them got new jobs, they did a decent job till Pressley got the gig - Pressley probably blames them for the slump.

“We have come to an agreement” intro immediately had me thinking who has left, is being thanked for their services etc?

What a strange way to begin an announcement - sounds like they’ve been negotiating for ages and, finally, agreed to pay the minimum wage or he is working for nowt, work experience is how Holdsworth will have sold it to him. In fact, did Holdsworth write this?

Now, can we please come to an ‘agreement’ with five forwards in the next 10 days...

There are obviously two scenarios here.

One is Holdsworth is sweating like mad because he has failed to identify or sign an adequate amount of players to form a squad.

Secondly he has been given a massive pat on the back for spending sod all money from the hierarchy.

Take your pick.

I think you`re possibly right on both points...DH must be under pressure now to bring in 4/5 players in the next ten days or so.

But i believe he`s also being told to cut costs and save money this season to balance the books to make the club more saleable .

On the new first team coach.
Its a bit suspicious that we suddenly find money for the A stand roof & a new coach after we sold McCarron

You leave it till that late to get your targets then that tells me you missed your targets and you really are relying on luck now.

Holdsworth is a total chancer, I don't give a toss if he wants to behave like this at another club but I don't like him doing it at mine.
