I thought he'd be at Morecambe scouting Branthwaite for a possible move to Reading.

Maybe Reading cannot afford him.

Cook Mansfield
Bowman Exeter

Followed about 20 mins playing time later on by Madden Fleetwood

Three of which were deemed not good enough for Carlisle United...

Steven Pressley, the manager of the Cumbrians mentioned that the English-born Ghanaian attacker is good but does not meet all their requirements.
“Kwame showed a real willingness to work and he has some good attributes, which we saw with the two goals he scored against Tramere last week,” Pressley told the New and star.
He added: “He doesn’t quite have everything we’re looking for from a player in that position at this moment in time and, with it being such a key role, I decided not to extend his stay any further.”

A useful team of players from our youth team: Gillespie Brough Marshall Aldred Branthwaite Potts Dempsey Todd Cook Bowman Madine. Two left backs, couldn't think of a right back. Either of the two left backs would be useful at the moment.

Symington on the bench, impact sub. To be honest if fully fit and handled properly he could play at a higher level than he is now. Beck would be on the bench, tallest set of Carlisle strikers ever. Was impressed with Brockbank for the Reds, plenty of competition for the number 3 shirt. Swinglehurst and Douglas as back up defenders.

Would rather have brough or Marshall than Ierdale at LB...

Todd would get in our midfield now (then again theirs not many who wouldn’t).

Cook can head a ball so he’s better than loft. Bowman will run about and not do much (the fact he runs means he’s offering more than Hope atm)

Brockbank, Douglas and Marshall might go onto a higher level - also Casson ex Carlisle at reds is supposed to be rated.

Forgot about McCarron and Galloway, pre season the lad who got badly injured (Dixon?) looked really useful. Charters looks promising. Sub goalie would be Tony Caig brought out of retirement. All those players would make a useful team.

Anybody following Workington will notice Symington is banging in his trademark rockets for fun for Danny Grainger ....he was always promising at CU but as said needed handling properly. He should have done better with his career..another one that got away!.

He’s playing in the 8th tier of the English game, what makes you think he could play in the 4th tier?

When Kavagnah played him at right back he was not our worst player, thought he looked better in League One than League Two. I think he chose to go part time. Even part time he has ability well above tier 8 and fully fit/well handled could play in league 2 if he wanted to.

I know folk get sick of hearing 'bring back x player' posts but that normally is because the mentioned player is either crap, out of our league or retired.

Liddle is a decent solid pro at League 2 level and as mentioned isn't on a great wage so it would be a no-brainer for me to bring him back in for six months with a view to another year if it goes okay.

You could sign far worse than Liddle - and we did....
