So the McCarron money would not have went on him I don think. My mate could be wrong like...

We're even getting coaches on loan now :-)

Why are Fleetwood so desperate to get rid should be the question asked?

Perhaps sending him out on loan to a few clubs to gain a bit of experience before signing him permanently on a three year deal....

I think it was more to do with his form, pitch time and sewing his seeds with a girl from Yeovil. No way was he coming back.....but to be sold for a measly £25,000. Due to the add on's included, Madden did not play championship football......instead he transferred to Scunny.

a lot in common with me then i sowed a lot of seeds in Yeovil from 1979-86... quite an easy place to do so

Yeah there’s a big farming community down that way.

It must have changed since then as we stayed there for a weekend before the last match of the season a few months back and it was like 28 days later with no one about. We did spot some wannabee woman complete with a beard though, what a mess.

I thought he did a great job today, their centre half was all over him but he managed to keep shaking him off. Considering he just arrived the other day thought he looked like a player.

He looks a promising find. He was making little runs that we weren’t quite savvy to yesterday, but as the team get to know each other, hopefully we can utilise that too.

One thing Loft did that Fela didn’t was get more free kicks. I’m not a big fan of it in football, but I’m sure if Fela went down a little easier (like Loft) the ref would have given him more.

Another recall clause triumph from Reg Holdsworth

"A source at Scunthorpe has told Football Insider that the Iron could recall the attacker from his season-long loan at Carlisle and sell him during the winter window if they receive a suitable offer for his services."

Tranmere, MK Dons and Plymouth all chasing him.

I would say that we have no chance of matching those lot regarding finance.

Stupid really as I understand the likes of your Premier League teams loaning us their young starlets to gain experience yet we have no chance really of signing them but to take a Scunthorpe player on loan that realistically we could have signed in the first place.

All we have done is stuck one of our relegation rivals players on the market and potentially giving them a January transfer kitty.

It was mentioned on here to give Scunthorpe our FA Cup money for Olomola but this would make a mockery of Holdsworths value for money transfer policy as instead of developing our own players that we have taken a chance on we would be paying another club for all of our hard work!

No brainer, forget about the money going into "behind the scenes structure" which SP has mentioned, go and offer it, we are in pole position, he likes it here, always a big big part of it believe me, especially how it has gone for him at Scunthorpe. He knows he will play, he knows he is well thought of, at the minute he needs that. Offer them the money.

Reading this thread back, we all saw this coming with the January recall option.

Hopefully David Holdsworth did as well and he’s planned for this likelihood, but we know what his track record is like.

I would imagine they.ll send all the loans back there's no point doing anything else after today's announcement

Sheff Utd might prefer to just pay your man anyway and leave him where he is as he.ll be released on June 31st and not extended like the rest of their squad will need to be.

PFA will have something to say if he is released on 31 June.
Olaf under contract at Scunthorpe next season. Cameron Burgess is the good one I believe, at Salford

Scunthorpe are releasing 11 at the end of their contracts.

There'll be a hell of a lot of players to choose from for those who aren’t bust.

Early in the season we were worried about him getting recalled in January, in February we couldn't wait to get rid of him oh the fickle life of a footballer.

Probably a good goal poacher for National League, or L2 but certainly not good enough to play deep and be a goal threat.
