McKirdy always seems to get cramp. It would be interesting to know how far he runs in a game.

Ray Houghton who is always very good on Talksport was on about wasting energy during a game the other week. He himself ran about like a blue arsed fly as a young lad chasing lost causes until he learned you can't do that for 90 minutes. It's a fine line though.

If you watch some of those top strikers they will be chasing everything down as you'd expect but don't unduly exert themselves when not involved.

After the game against Leicester there are a lot of the first team squad that wouldn't get a game if they went out on loan, NUFC are awful to watch...

Magpies U23 coach Neil Redfern is reported to be considering recalling Elias in January, could this and our FA cup TV money get us a recognised capable striker?

If yes who?

Send him back - if he's not good enough to get in this team he must be awful!

The way Joelinton and Almiron are playing he might get a start.

Yeah assuming Olomola goes back in January, we'll need someone in so if Sorensen isn't near starting he might as well go back and we can put the budget towards someone ready to be our main striker.

Did Joe Linton come through Wallsend Boys club?. Sounds a good local name.

Ricky Miller and Jack Redshaw are available. Joe Hardy if available from Brentford or Reece Edmunson from Leeds. Connor Bell was highly rated in Scotland but doesn’t have a club. Also saw that Craig Curren is a free agent.

Miller is a loose cannon and Redshaw a downward spiral for a good while. Connor Bell drifts and Craig Curran is shite.

Hardy didn’t want to come here, hence Sorensen coming!

And I’m sure Canice Carroll and Brentford will be giving rave reviews to Hardy about Carlisle United and Pressley.

Pretty ironic after transfer windows of yesteryear that we may start February with a complete set of new strikers.

As for Sorensen, absolutely atrocious but will probably end up with a Premier League Golden Boot knowing our track record with strikers.

Sure Connor bell left South Shields to go to Australia or New Zealand.

Leeds generally won’t loan players to L2 unless their being released at the end of their contract (Mccaron is likely to go to a L1 club in Jan).

Can’t see any clubs queuing up to loan us their players, if you look at our last 9 loanees bar O’Hare, Olomola & Thomas they’ve all failed to develop and often play (Cullen, Simpson, Thomas, O’Hare, Slater, Olomola, Sorrenson, carrol and loft)
