Give over you daft bugger, how often are we on telly?
And if you feel that way at least you wont be giving money to the board.
Jesus some people are pretty apathetic, and they call themselves Carlisle fans????
I'm sure they will be some Peruvian third division game broadcast on the internet to let yourself cream over.

Humiliation on a national stage.

Pressley to claim he was 'pleased with the statistical performance' after being humped!

I don`t think even S P dare claim he see`s green shoots if we get humped.!

Apathetic you bet I am,I feel like I have all enthusiasm for the club sucked out of me this last decade our club is an embarrassment no engagement with fans and bare faced lies when it does how they got away with the billionaire lies I do not know

out performed both on and off the pitch by the likes of Rochdale and Accrington who can identify sign and find young players seemingly at will compared to our woefully inadequate recruitment

When I go away and see non league clubs with nicer surroundings to sit and have a couple of beers and a bit of a craic maybe some scran before a game

Everything about are club is a Shan apart from the fans and I take my hat off to those that still travel the country supporting us you deserve so much more

I still care it just hurts to much to see how far we have fallen and I'm not just talking about league position

Be just and fear not

I think we are an obvious choice for television. The narrative writes itself. Carlisle the Northern team at risk of dropping out the League versus Dulwich the hipster metropolitan club desperate to gain League status. Dulwich who were locked out of their ground versus Carlisle whose ground was under 6 feet of water. Add in Jimmy Glass and someone like Steve Claridge and the programme script is almost written. Minnows will start favourites and the producers can be home afterwards in 30 minutes. Perfect!!

Was wondering that myself. Border and Central both showed the 95 Auto Windscreen final. Border then experimented with a league game against Wycombe the following season which, despite being a cracking game, they never did again. However I don't remember us ever being on a proper nationwide terrestrial channel before.

Do they collate passing stats and other such data at Conference South level?

If they don't then Pressley is going to be knacced on his pre-match preparation.

It's funny reading their forum post, it's a reminder of what football was before the idiots forced the authorities hand.
They're rightly optimistic too

I can't imagine the FA will allow a mixed crowd or beers in sight of the pitch though!

3K capacity ground is going to be interesting for players as any fan will be able to be heard, trust me I've played in a few of those size grounds!!
You hear every word.

Watched on Tuesday night and I'm not sure I've the stomach to see anything more embarrassing on national TV.

It's better to be silent and assumed a fool than to speak and remove all doubt

Last TV games were Exeter in Play-Offs and Everton in FA Cup.

As mentioned, that Wycombe game on Border must be the last ‘Terrestial’ appearance?

I think the last time we lost to a non-league team would be in 1999 against Ilkeston Town.

We lost 6-1 against Wigan in 1934 (a cup record for the biggest victory by a non-league club over a league club.)

Just had a look through our FA Cup history since being a league team. We've lost 6 times against non-league teams:

1-2 V Cheltenham (H) 1933
1-6 V Wigan (H) 1934
0-1 V Gravesend & Northfleet (H) 1963
0-1 V Crook Town (A) 1964
2-4 V Macclesfield (A) 1987
1-2 V Ilkeston Town (A) 1999

I'd forgot the Macclesfield game.

CCU it's very interesting how the non-league teams we've played are clustered geographically. If you were to draw a diagonal line from Rhyl in North Wales through the West Midlands down to Woking, we haven't played a non-league club in the FA Cup west (to the left) of that line since WW2. There are probably a lot fewer football clubs in the West Country overall but currently 6 out of the top 8 clubs in League 2 are from the South West.

What does the N by the Bishop Auckland game stand for? If I remember rightly that’s the game where I went on the pitch at half time to fork the pitch when they asked for volunteers, I wouldn’t normally be arsed but I was getting sowked in the waterworks and I jumped in the scratchers after I’d finished :-)

I can remember seeing Halpin (broken leg) and Bishop (suspended ) sat in the stand at the Macclesfield game. Without those 2 nearly the worst Carlisle team ever. 1991-2 was worse for me. Current team Brazil 1982 in comparison. Haven't forgotten the people who said Bishop wouldn't even make it in the Northern Premier League.

During my time of supporting CUFC the 1st and 2nd rounds of the FA Cup were always regionalised into North and South ties, I can`t recall when these early rounds became national, I would guess sometime in the late 1990`s.

Tickets are still not on the web site with just over a week to go - anyone know when they go on sale?

It's a pisstake charging 7pm a minute to call them - does this include the holding time? Any self respecting business has a 0800 number.

I'm sure last time they charges 75p per ticket to post them out aswell even though they were in the same envelope!
