Gary Madine will fancy this one if we get there.

Then again when he returned with Sheffield Wednesday we beat them.

That is basically about the shittest draw you could possibly get.

Might work for us this one as FGR will think 'sod this' we will concentrate on the league as the reward isn't fantastic and will not make the television.

Not a terrible draw, just not very fashionable.

Agree Munchy - I think we will go through.

I don’t think we’ve played them in their new stadium so a little to look forward to if we win.

With it being a welsh team we might end up on BBC Wales.

Can anybody remember the comeback at BP against Cardiff back in the 70s. 3-1 down and then a Billy Rafferty hat trick for a 4-3 win! Seems like yesterday.

I remember that game. Half the home support would have got the result off the radio or pink pages as loads had left early.

Low crowd that will make us no money non the less.

It will have the feel of that leaselend trophy or whatever it is called/

Good stadium - I went there before it was expanded to 33,000 and its not often have Carlisle played at an international football stadium.

No one beat us in a checkatrade final in Wales or anywhere else for that matter.

I remember it well. I was still at school and we always had to leave 10 minutes early and run up Warwick Road to the bus station in order to catch the bus home. We thought we had lost 3-1 and couldn't believe it when someone on the bus with a radio told us we had won 4-3.
During our year in the first division, if matches at BP had ended when we had to race for our bus I believe we would have stayed up - how different could things be now?

I didn't go to the 4-3 classic game, but I do rememeber a 2-2 draw with them when the "legendary" Stephane Lemarchand scored for us.
Only 1309 in attendance that night.

My Dad mentions it all the time along with a cup game we were 6-0 up at half time and got booed of at full time cos we only scored 7 ..

I was there and stayed for the goals... we stood in the Warwick Road end at the corner of the Paddock so got a good view of the goals if I recall corrrectly

I did spot my typo "corrrectly" but the edit lock prevented me from correcting it!

Meanwhile back to the third round draw. 14 out of 20 PL teams drawn at home. Disgraceful.

Joking aside this is the one time the draw has actually helped the lower league clubs with a bit of revenue.

Even most of the Premier League will be wanting to draw one of the top four so they can make an early exit from the competition and concentrate on survival.

I suppose there's an outside chance(if we get through) that we could play on the Sunday. I hope not
