Why are they obsessed with getting all these young kids in what we need is experienced players with hundreds of games under their belts and Jenkins finding his cheque book to pay them.

And Gary Madine would be right up that street not some snotty-nosed Mackem whos only first-team experience has been to carry the player's bags.

Strange that you often champion the Accrington model of bringing in young hungry lads on loan from bigger clubs then.

Rekeil Pyke was recalled from Rochdale by Huddersfield yesterday. Scored two and assisted two in 19 games this season at Spotland. Came on against us in the league cup match in August.

Possible that Beech knows him. ‘Forward’ could mean a winger - which he is.

Huddersfield Examiner says the loan recall is for them to have a closer look at him as they are short on cover in wide positions.

Devante Cole possibly? Just gone back to Wigan from Motherwell, 4 goals in 21 for them. Cook has said he’s got no future at Wigan and his contract is up in the summer so could probably get him for next to nout?

Confused as to some people’s actual knowledge of football madine is on £12,000 per week as a Cardiff city player.

I’m confused for you because he’s a Championship Player and not on Loan to anyone!

;)

And from my enquiries since Saturday not on anywhere near 12k a week

As I said yesterday him coming on loan with us paying say 25% of his wages would be a win-win situation for everyone.

Cardiff, they save 2k a week for a player they clearly have no intention of playing

Carlisle, They get a player they know who wants to come with a large number of appearances and a player most of league two would kill to get.

Madine He gets a chance to put himself in the spotlight and get another championship contact as opposed to the bottom half of league one where he.s heading if he spends the rest of the season in Cardiffs stiffs.

Lummy He gets the income from having a lodger

It will be least twice that, probably closer to three times.
As far as rumours/suggestions, this is definitely one of the better ones.

Try checking the average wage of a championship player.

Yes, it's distorted by all the first-year pros but its also distorted by Wayne Rooney on 200k a week.

Robson was very highly rated at Grimsby and seemed to play well. Cole I’m not sure about, career seems to need a bit of a springboard. He’s probably at the point in his career where he becomes a league 2 journey man or he scores a few at his next club and gets a league 1 or championship team for his next move. Both talented players.

We have a good keeper. The two Jones are decent at this level. Brantwaite is going -- the jury is out on a couple .Dont know the quality of any of the remaining youngsters. People said that about the likes of Pop Robson and Bobby Moncur who it could easily be argued were way further up the pecking order than Gary Madine at the time they came.

If you listen to the interview GM comes across as a throwback to them days the lad just wants to play football and be somewhere he.ll feel wanted and whether you like it or not it very much sounds like that place for him is Carlisle whether that's next week or in 5 years time but he did say it will be well before his legs have gone. personally I think he.s more likely than Graham because he's been in the Blackburn lifestyle for too long.

He said he’d come back one day, not meaning now. No chance he’d come back at the age of 29, given our league position and likely wage offer. A third of the championship and the whole of League 1 would probably be ahead of us in the queue.

No that's true

But if I owned CUFC i.d be on the phone to him telling him how he could resurrect his career at BP. Then i.d Be on to that nice Mr Tan telling him how much I love Malaysia and would he take a 2k contribution towards his wages to get him out of the door

And i.d confident of my ability to persuade them both that i.d have Jon Colman ready and waiting for the scoop

Surely Mr Tan would be better sending Madine to somebody who would pay a bigger percentage of his wages like they did last season when he had a spell at Sheff U.

Also Gary’s Uncle Roly says he’s on more than 12k a week.

Always wondered how all these media outlets think they know how much footballers earn a week, I bet some of the players don’t even know themselves.

This site loses a bit of credibility straight away as it states it’s Cardiff’s payroll for this season yet they include a player, Kenneth Zohore, who was sold in the summer. If it is last season’s figures then most, if not all, will have been reduced with relegation anyway.

Graeme - I think he's a good player, always been a handful when I have seen him, but he is a championship, so unlikely to be up for a league 2 relagation battle.
Far more likely to go to a Bolton (another of his old clubs) or a Barnsley (esp if Woodrow goes) or Sunderand type club.

The real figure is considerably less but is severely distorted by the wages of players at the last couple of years relegated clubs with time left on their contracts.

So if you were to remove both the highest 100 earners and the lowest 100 earners and just arrive at the average of those left it comes out at about 13.5k

You'd be amazed at the clubs who have no one on more than 30k Derby County surprisingly being one so other than the issue of the PL contracts at half a dozen clubs it seems that the issue isn't really as much the amount championship players are being paid but given what they're spending in total it must be the number of players on that sort of money they have either that or there must be a hell of a lot of Curlesque type contracts about.

Speaking of Barrow and going slightly off topic here by a few months, are there any of their players we should be looking to nick in the summer? Assuming we stay up that is!

What about Rooney’s boyo? Bagging for fun it seems, and that other lad who scores a lot. Anyone else? Shouldn’t be too hard to persuade a player to leave Barrow for us.

If we do stay up it should be a decent division next season - Possibly 2 of Barrow, Harrogate, Stockport & Halifax from the National League.

Bolton & possibly Tranmere & Rochdale from league 1.

Even Barrows crappest players probably wouldn't want to come here on a one year deal.

They won 7-0 at the weekend - I can imagine clubs higher up and bigger spenders than us will get first dibs.

We have very little to offer, neigh on bottom of League Two, one year deals and no ambition so unless the player loves the club then they will only be coming here for cash and that puts us long down the list.

I’m sorry but unless Barrow were a league above us or had a huge bag of money and were blowing us out of the water financially, no player in their right mind would rather play for that glorified pub team in their tiny little ground in one of the horriblest shit holes you could find, rather than play for us. Despite how badly we’re run, our club is still way bigger, way more prestigious, with a much bigger fan base and much more potential.
