Does anyone know if we’ve notched any goals from set pieces post Grainger/Devitt?

Can’t remember a time where we looked so unthreatening.

We obviously not being coached to score off set pieces , were still in the Carlisle tiki taka era , it will be alright in the conference

I can't remember any. Mind you, I haven't seen a goal for about 2 months.
Why oh why couldn't we have kept devitt. It can't have been the 12 month contract excuse as they are handing out 18 month ones now just 4 months on. Grainger would still be more than capable of playing and shining in this team.
That was woeful today. I can't even remember the last time we even had a free kick in a dangerous area never mind score from one!

Scored from a corner at Orient, was a scrappy goalmouth scramble rather than any sort of well planned move.

I've been going on about the lack of goals from dead ball situations for months.

DH and SP are totally to blame in my opinion. They knew they'd lost Grainger and Devitt.

About 90 % of this forum didn’t want Danny Grainger in the team last year I’m proud to say I wasn’t one of them

I don't agree with that. They will practice set pieces in training.

You have to have players who can deliver a good set piece and players who have the nous to get on the end of them. We don't have them.

Didn’t we score a ‘slap stick’ goal from a corner down the waterworks against Macclesfield? Comedy genius though.
As above I struggle to recall many goals.

Any goal would do! Last league goal at home was 2nd November, last goal I’ve seen them score was 7 games ago against Salford in August.

Watt took most of the set pieces at Cardiff and dropped some good balls into dangerous areas. Didn’t he take any today?

We got very few today but he did take a corner, perhaps 2.

I guess re reading that it seems we have actually improved if we didn’t score from a single set piece the season before as he eludes to. That’s embarrassing.

We used to get excited when we got a set piece.

I think Grainger would have been a better choice as manager than the present incumbent!

Difficult to disagree with that Nobby, I would only add, we don't know for certain who ultimately controls recruitment/scouting, if it's not the manager/coach, it probably doesn't matter who we put in place, they've got a hell of a challenge on their hands....

They don't like it up 'em!

Actually don’t think our balls in from set pieces have been poor, (haven’t been great admittedly) but we’ve got no one to attack them...

Only threat we have is Hayden.... and it’s becoming very obvious we’re trying to put it on his head every game atm

Sagaf is more than capable of taking set pieces but I've yet to see him given the chance.

Was refering to when he was at his last club nothing odd about that. Hopefully someone can step up to the mark.
Wonder if Devitt is doing anything right now lol.

Devitt is at loan at Bradford City just now and is out injured

So much for Holdsworth bs about needing to score more from set pieces when we actually did. He improved that so much now we don't...

To be fair, a Google search for "Sagaf free kick" does turn up at couple of examples when he was at Braintree, one he scored from direct and another tipped onto the bar.
