It felt like Nixon and Holdsworth were just playing for time, rambling on and on to run down the clock and prevent more questions being asked. I'd like it if at future meetings the panel were limited to 2 minutes in their responses, 3 if it's a particularly complex question.

Also, Nigel made a comparison between personal guarantees and mortgages. They aren't the same. With a mortgage, as long as you are making payments, the bank can't just come in and say they want all their money back, but with a personal guarantee Philip Day could in theory just rock up tomorrow and decide he wants paying in full and legally he has every right.

Not true Kess-the loan instrument will determines how and when it’s repaid-the PG will just underwrite it in the event of default.

The problem is the loan instrument has never been disclosed or published.

Pretty clear reading JCs twitter that the club are preparing for a succession by getting it into shape.Big question is to whom and when?

So if Philip Day specifically wanted to call in all the money tomorrow, there's a specific mechanism that prevents him doing that similar to banks not being able to just demand payment in full on mortgages?

I would imagine so-otherwise you would be insane signing a PG.Loan is clearly medium term-guess 5 years, as if it was less than 1 year to expiry, it would move across the balance sheet into short term liabilities. Its the first place I look when reading a set of accounts. That and cash because you cannot lie about cash in contrast to pretty much everything else in accountancy

Well he did ask ;) - that’s what I’d do.

I wanted to know why he (Patty) came back on board abs what he’d brought to the club - I don’t need to know about the Carlisle youth league set up.

And I’m sorry but we’re 20th in tier 4 - someone’s failed - we are better than that, so I’m sorry but not necessarily Clibbens’s/Holdsworth have failed.

To be fair, I disagree with Clibbens answers but he is a very clever man and I prefer him running stuff than Nixon as for Holdsworth again he impressed me a little.

Lots of good questions tonight, especially EWMs silence!

Why did Clibbens keep looking at Nixon like that when there was an EWM question?

My suspicion is that he either doesn't know what is going on with EWM or he is looking to pass the buck when it all goes pear shaped.

Problem is that the deluded individuals owning & running our club & I include NC & DH in this really think they are doing a great job.
Only thing they are doing is to preside over continuing failure.
We may well escape relegation this year but it may not be so easy next year unless things change dramatically.

Well I learnt that both Nixon and Patty both subscribe to my theory that clubs in lge two need an owner willing to throw in 500k a year [ and 1million a year in lge 1 ] Didn't hear either of them offer tho. Maybe it was a hint towards their mate Jenks.

I suppose there was confirmation that the next set of Club accounts to be filed at Companies House will show a loss of around half a million. I would take with a lorry load of salt the comment that Nixon et al would be willing to give away their B shares as they are worthless. Of course it all depends on the 'assets' of the Club when succession takes place but the owners of the B shares are the same individuals as those with the majority of the voting shares and therefore they are in a position to decide how much the B shares are worth relative to the voting shares when the succession deal eventually takes place.

I still don’t think the owners are/were clever enough to fully understand Lappings (chancers) plan - SP still doesn’t.

It’s also fitting that Nixon finally admitted they ran out of cash. We had player sales and two Wembley appearances in succession/ if that’s not a sign of a poorly ran football club, I don’t know what is.

Yes the flood didn’t help, but they probably chose a cheap insurance policy thinking it wouldn’t happen again and didn’t get the full amount back.

It’s also very well Clibbens saying forget the mistakes (there are lots) and move forward. We’ve never had a twitch of apology/accountability from the owners, it’s all we tried our best. I’ve made mistakes I hold my hands up and the reason Andy holt at Accrington is popular is that he does the same - people have memories unfortunately and it’s not easy to forget.

Just caught up on the whole thing having missed it last night.

Holdsworth. Wriggled out of the Pressley [censored] up question. Should have just admitted that he [censored] up by extending his contract after the atrocious second part of last season instead of waffling on about his ideas looking good on paper. He answered some other questions quite well though, but he would have been nowhere near that forum had results not picked up and we hadn’t been as productive in the January transfer market.

Pattison is an embarrassment. Makes out he’s some sort of hero for keeping the club going as he calls it and we should all be grateful to him that we’re not in the same position as Chesterfield. His pull managers names out of a hat comment was cringeworthy. Thank [censored] it’s not him on his own running the show, we really would be [censored]. The irony is, he describes potential investors as chancers with no cash who’d come in and drive the club down, yet that’s exactly what he is and what he’s done. Think I’d be on the verge of suicide if I had to listen to him for much longer.

Clibbens. Quite often answers a question with a question which irritatingly often changes the path of the original point. He does on the whole talk well and he at least does attempt to engage with fans. He’s not as on the defensive as the likes of Steve Patt.

Nixon. Never really liked the guy, but he at least explained some of the stuff he gets up to with the EFL and FA. Some of it was quite interesting. Also Sounded a bit promising with what he hinted about EWM in the future, but we’ll see, we’ve been hopeful before and bugger all has happened.

That’s what I was trying to get at with Patty - he criticises others as chancers yet is the same. I can only take his word last night that his put money in (different from the last forum) but using the creation of the youth league (wasn’t all him) as a reason for being on the holdings board is laughable as Is the odd job man as it took months to just change the disabled locks in the disabled toilet.

Nixon never answered me question on whether he failed as CEO - I think I know the answer. They still think they are doing a good job.

Yes they do deserve some respect for putting PGs in but they could of got off by working with other interested parties. After the forum I got from Nixon he is far more interested in his FA roles than the club - clubs just a convenience for him.
