Funny thing was, when I got to do the site a few years ago I had no idea what escorting was, so when I agreed and took payment I actually thought I was doing something for the community as I thought it was about helping old people get shopping or get a bit of company. Once I got the spec and knew what it was about, it was too late to pull out - so to speak. Opened my eyes to a whole new world.

Anyway thanks to each and everyone in our NHS and also those carers and retail workers.

For very different reasons. In the case of most countries it is simply because they are not testing every case in the county.

China is a different - that is a pure cover up job.

But the number of cases is completely irrelevant they mean nothing except to the sites like you read and quote from which is pretty strange given you acknowledge yourself that they're complete bollocks who think you can use that as a way of measuring the spread of the disease.

They need to stop using them and start using the admitted to hospital figure as almost without exception everybody who had died from the virus or from existing conditions made worse by the virus have occurred in hospital and not to people unexpectedly at home.

Oh and btw you haven't responded to my comments about your recovered and in IC figures yes as i.m waiting with interest for you to do so.

There is no longer a shortage of bog rolls what there is is a shortage of 32 packs of decent quality stuff whereas Tesco have shedloads of 4 packs of unbranded stuff at ridiculous prices.

And while we're talking about prices for anyone whos still driving both Asda and Morrissons have petrol at just 102p a litre.

176 cases now in Cumbria which is a similar rate to that in the East London boroughs. Most will probably trace back to the school skiing trips to Northern Italy but it is the worst percentage for a non-metropolitan area in England.

While they're virtually only testing people admitted to hospital or healthcare professionals who are showing symptoms it's pretty sure the positive percentage will go up every day as virtually all the tests will be positive when they're only testing people they're pretty sure have it just to get confirmation.

Think Cumbria's first case was March 4th which was very early on so in the grand scheme of things it's been a slow burn so far it's obviously going to climb at a rapid rate soon but maybe just maybe
this lockdown might take the sting out of it in the coming weeks.

I think London will end up with horrific numbers of dead in the coming weeks.

Well, I think more accurately you can say it was in Cumbria on the date the first school party landed back in this country after their half-term trips to northern Italy.

Its common knowledge that the number infected is at least 20 times higher than confirmed.

In Italy people who are dying at home self isolating are not being counted in the deaths.

In Germany where they have a low number of deaths they are also covering up the real deaths by counting it as anything but coronavirus (eg..heartattck).

I could real embarrass some people on here by pulling up their predications on what would happen here.

Some of you who have been asking questions about age of deaths, additional ailments etc in Italy may be interested to read this analysis by The Istituto Superiore di Sanità (the leading technical-scientific body of the Italian National Health Service).

In case (like me) you didn't know, apparently a "comorbidity" is the presence of one or more additional conditions co-occurring with a primary condition.

But some of us made those predictions before Boris and Cummings lost their bottle.

I have said since i.d have accepted 50k deaths amongst the categories currently dying but no trashed economy rather than 20k with what we.ve got now where the country will pay for it for the next 20 years which almost certainly means till the end of my life.

They should have just isolated the 2 million most vulnerable and then let it spread building enough beds to keep in front of its spread as it's been clear what was coming since the end of January why is it only now the first external temporary hospital is being built exactly two months late. And why will Manchester have to wait another month for them to do the G Mex the whole job should have been handed over to the military 2 months ago. They say they're not using hotels because of the increased logistics/cost of equipping and staffing them with the likes of oxygen well has nobody told them the vast number in hospital at any one-time don't actually need oxygen and only a tiny percentage of the staff needed to operate one would actually need to be medically qualified and they've just recruited the best part of a million bodies who they could have been put to use to man them.

It's easy to Blame Boris for this but for me, it has the stamp of Whitehall and the Civil Service written all over it.

Remember the Falklands where Whitehall said you can't do that and the military lads said, of course, we can just give us ten minutes and the back of a fag packet. Remember the Vulcans and their refuelling for example.
