Is that because it's gone 3:30.

Dear Parents/Carers

As you are aware, we have been liaising with Public Health England about the additional confirmed case of Coronavirus at Trinity School. Following their investigations this morning, Public Health England have now advised that the school should close. We will begin releasing students from 12:30pm today, after making contact with parents. Alternatively, if parents wish to collect their children, they will be able to do so from any point today. We have been told that if you are unable to collect your child and you want them to stay at school that the risk to their health is low.

The school will remain closed until 23rd March as the incubation period for the virus means people who do not have symptoms by 23rd March are very unlikely to have picked up the virus from this source. Anyone with symptoms when the school reopens should not return to school until well.

Parade has been cancelled I think.

It’s like we are going to war.Fascinating insight into the mathematics behind how the pandemic moves around-with some interesting decisions made on the modelling.

Looks like the peak is 4 weeks away-80pc of the population potentially will get infected but hopefully a lot less.

This looks like a let Covid 19 run its course policy and not a stopping one maybe they think China's lock-down policy is folly as it's bound to escalate once movement is allowed again.
Whilst on the other hand we end up with 80% of the population immune and Covid free.

The first coronavirus death in Scotland has been reported.
It was someone elderly, a 27 year old.

Latest from the WHO:
"Coronavirus Pandemic."
Talk about jump on the bandwagon when you haven't had a hit song in years.

I said to my wife, "If the quarantine comes, you'll pretty much be stuck in the house all day and will have very little else to do except watch the telly..."

"So basically, no change to your schedule."

The Germans have started to put their towels on hospital beds.

As I've sid earlier playing games behind closed doors is bollocks.. Does that mean that players and support staff are immune from catching the virus, I give you Artete at Arsenal, the McLaren team, Real Madrid in lockdown and several other sporting icons.

Better to either post[pone events to later dates or abandoning them all together this year.

The league one and league two clubs have told the FL they will not accept playing behind closed doors.

They would rather the rest of the programme was cancelled by govt order and then seek compensation from them

Mark Palios believes if the leagues are cut short the clubs will have no option to put themselves into voluntary administration en masse as he doesn't believe there is a club in the lower leagues who will be able to survive a doubling of the time they have no income but still have wages to pay and you cant see a rush to buy season tickets in the current climate can you.

The administration would allow clubs to jettison the players and their wage bills but the league would either have to bin the administration sanction or all the clubs in the league would have to agree to do it together so they would all start next season on minus 12 points.

The only reason to play games behind closed doors is so that armchair fans can watch the games on the telly.

If this happens, all it means is that armchair fans are more important than those attending the games.

All communication between the FL and the clubs has been done by e.mail for well over a year now that was half the problem with the Bury fiasco every time one of the clubs sent an e.mail they were copying all the other clubs into it and they were running to dozens of pages. From what I could see the rep was hardly involved which concurs with what he said afterwards and again at the recent forum.

To take advantage of cheap train fares I book well in advance, I have tickets for the remaining Saturday home games but have been told I am not entitled to a refund, I also have match tickets for Orient and Northampton. So not only nay I now be unable to attend these games I also have lost money, unless Advanti have a change of heart.
I will also add that attending an open air event in a quarter full stadium does in my view is a very low risk; but a thee+ hour journey is a much higher risk. Will public transport soon be stopped?

A few stag weekends could be off as the Czech Republic will be closing its borders on Sunday. Tourists will still be able to leave the country. Those countries with relatively few infections seem to think that total isolation is their best policy. What happened in Italy has scared a lot of country leaders but this article on the bbc website helps to explain why experts think Covid-19's 'trajectory' and experience in the UK won't necessarily be the same as that in Italy. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51858987

Government policy is not to stop it spreading but slow it down - we will all get if living in an urban area. Good luck trying to get through to NHS direct - takes you through voice activated options - then says you are getting put through to local NHS - then hang up.

Think it probably better to get it now than at the peak.
