The way Beech describes him sounds like a Jack Sowerby type of player which is exactly what we need and not too young either.

Sounds like this could be a good signing.

Looks like hes started most games for Blackpool in 2020 and some of their fans seem very surprised theyve let him go so hopefully he'll be a great signing.

More likely a replacement for Scougall - to make up a midfield three of Watt, Jones, Guy.

On the face it looks an excellent signing, given he was a first team regular at Blackpool at the start of the month.

Looks a very good signing on paper, you just need to look at the Blackpool fans on twitter they are certainly not happy he's gone.

Had a quick chat with my mate who is Bradford fan where he was on loan 2018, said he's box to box, doesn't stop running and gets stuck in, they'd love to have him back. When I told them he was on a permanent and not a loan they refused to believe me!

We obviously have to see how he settles in but credit where credit is due.. well done Chris Beech.

Looks like a good signing and glad we are now giving out 18 month contracts. Have we paid a fee?

Unusual move for him considering he was a regular for them.

From what I’ve read from Blackpool fans and what Beech says he doesn’t sound like that type of player to me.

Looks a very good signing. Summat's gaan on !
At last a glimpse of a plan/future. Can't see the lad having taken a pay cut..!!
If we keep McKirdy we could have a strong end to season. Another out and out striker be good though.

I have been very impressed with the standard of player the manager has managed to bring in on permanent deals aswell,He knows how he wants to play he knows the type of player he wants and he's managing to sell us to these players,I think a lot of this is probably down to how well he did at Dale punching above their weight and the young players he brought through.

Was talking to a good mate of mine at work whose been a dale season ticket holder for years who said Beech was a massive part of what Hill achieved and that Hill was more of a figurehead Beech organised training and development of players even recruitment

Hopefully can be as successful with us bearing in mind Dale get 2,500 and our potential is bigger

I have been mightily impressed considering the mess of a squad he inherited with lack of quality and confidence and to attract good players to a club so lowly as we are at present is no mean feat he's no soft touch either players are in no doubt why they aren't in team and what they need to do about it.

Be just and fear not

What a shame Beech wasn't here at the start of the season. Might have been at the top end of the league given his signings up to now.

Seems to have been a big change in transfer policy since the start of the season.

Think we all knew they had to balance the books, and the Branthwaite deal has made that easier, and they've obviously put some aside to help Beech strengthen the team. Money we didn't have at the start of the season.

If that's the case and it may well be, why keep the fans in the dark, constantly forced to spectulate whats happening? On a brighter note, good signings, some on decent contracts. Bring on Mansfield

Because letting people know you have a ton of money isn't a great negotiating position. Not gonna lie, I don't care how much money the club has or whether they make it public as long as we commit to good signings and a good long term strategy.

Yeah we have paid a fee.

18 month is pretty standard, even we're not stupid enough to pay money for someone and only offer them a six month contract (he'd be immediately able to sign a precontract agreement with anyone else), and a twelve month contract would mean he'd be out of contract half way through next season which isn't ideal.

If he lives up to his potential, Guy seems to be at the level of someone we would have normally signed in the last couple of years only following unproven recovery from ACL-knack and a couple of ankle operations.

Would imagine he’s likely had, or been scheduled, a scan when swelling is down, to ascertain what damage, if any, there is?
