Who do you support was created by Taffy-P
I was talking with Jack Charlton a few years ago

He said the team you support deep down is the one when they score you jump off the sofa and punch the air it was Newcastle United for Jack

Unfortunately it’s Carlisle United for me

Well I don’t know about jumping off the sofa.
For me it’s who I fantasise about winning Euromillions and building a new stadium for So it’s CUFC.
I also know who I don’t like, as I’m a [censored] the list is long. I get a real rush when I see Barnet getting beaten and strangely enough Lincoln.
Honourable mentions to Burnley, Preston and any team involved with the ‘Cowleys’.

Thanks to have been born here and having a dad who was a fervent CUFC supporter, and despite living and working in few places around the United Kingdom plus a couple times abroad, it`s always been Carlisle United, I`d occasionally watch a team in the locality where I was at the time, but the levels of emotion, excitement and despair were never equalled to those found watching my team.

I’m not keen on Newcastle. Their fans along with those of Rangers always look as they need a wash! :-D

My dad played for Ashington for a few years Zebby so I was up there every other weekend and Tuesday and Thursdays up at Portland Park, sports shop across the road and the market.

Beardsley is was in the same team as him and he drove Peter to be picked up for his trial/move over here.

We signed Beardsley from Wallsend Boys Club, not from Ashington.

Happy memories of Portland Park and the market used to sit in that little stand with my mates as a kid then on the pitch for a kick around at full time
Seen some good games and crowds against the likes of Bedlington Terriers,Blyth Spartans ect it's an Asda now the new ground is much more modern with cracking new stand and bar overlooking pitch been to a couple of functions there

Be just and fear not

All paid for by the taxpayer! Article

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/taxpayers-cas...club-staff-j5g6rcmqc

Played there a few times myself when I was with Morpeth-remember being kicked and being called Tory Boy by one of the Ashington lads

Jackie Milburn used to cover all the Carlisle matches for the Sunday Sun-what a guy he was.Always had time to speak to people around him
