My favourite spot-the Williamson family have lived there for generations and I used to go hay timing there when I was a boy.Swim off the groyne in the summer when the tide was in.

It certainly is not me either..it be fool hardy going out cycling in this kind of weather.Luckily i have a quality indoor training set up in Zwift to compensate..

Yes its been frustrating but my safety comes 1st on the roads..only takes 1 gust and that be it.

MRF I spend a fair bit of time on Zwift too
Love it.

Had a very close call on the roads last year with a lady too impatient to wait 10 seconds till it was safe to pass (not over the blind crest and double white lines like she did)
Nearly wiped me out when two cars racing each other came the other way...narrow road, three cars and a cycle wasn’t a good mix!
I decided to stick to indoors...love Zwift

It's better to be silent and assumed a fool than to speak and remove all doubt

Beats playing any game console sat in a huge chair twiddling thumbs and eating pizza etc...probably delivered by deliveroo.... Fit people on bikes delivering to make people fatter....ironic eh.

Ive had a few close calls myself over the winter with plenty of clowns doing allsorts of stupid things to nearly cause accidents..i just shake my head these days..amazes me how many folk cannot use a roundabout

Aye and most of them are on bloody bikes

As far as i.m concerned when bike owners pay the same road tax as car owners do then they.ll get the same rights.

And the first one who tried to film me would very soon find himself having the bloody camera surgically removed.

Same rights apply Barry...its called the highway code which expect all to adhere to anyway..(well mobility scooters are fast becoming an issue too). Some cyclists are just [censored] stupid at times, ive seen it myself...lack of arm signals do my head in..and going through red lights...no wonder folk call cyclists.
Me personally i use the same kind of routines as i did when using a motorcycle,I always look over my shoulder before moving out safely.

Would you delete your dash cam footage then if you crashed into a cyclist?

Wasn't having a go at you Mark but it boils my piss that you don't pay road tax or indeed need to be insured so if a cyclist causes an accident the car owner has no choice but to claim on his own insurance lose his no claims and take the hit on policy cost increase.

You should come and watch the fun and games on the Rising Bridge roundabout near us were a couple of years back the Highways agency spent a fortune to make it safe for cyclists by making it so they don't need to actually navigate the roundabout but do they take any notice do they shit and then they get knocked off because the speed limit is actually 60mph if you get a green light and if they go thru just as the green light changes they are going around the roundabout with traffic steaming down the hill towards them at 60 and then when they get cleaned up its the drivers fault. Whereas they are meant to use what are essentially zebra crossings on each of the roads when the lights on that spur goes red. I have yet to see an adult cyclist use the crossings and I think the kids only do because they're shit scared of the traffic on the roundabout.

The best solution for me would be a highly trained team of snipers.

Re Nixons Vixons.
So much for Nixon bringing nothing to the club, people forget about the many hours he must have spent in the dance studio training the girls ( and boy ) he reluctlanly had to give it up when the F A came calling.

Nixons Vixens was a cringeworthy name.

Pattisons idea however was more likely to have been a load of topless 'birds' in their mere knickers chasing Robin Askwith whose pants fall down occasionally while he exclaims 'crikey'.

That one sounds good actually.
