I'm waiting to see what the terms are for next season. Judging by the e.mail I received they're holding out until they see how many fans do as you've done which of course is your perogative.

You don't need the email.

There is a link in the article on the official website.

It's on their website Arragon. I think they're hoping the majority of the fans will forego any refund. I think they're being devious and hoping to save a load of money. They should be up front and tell us what's on offer for renewals

I would want a refund because I have no intention of going to Brunton Park. No way will I be getting another season ticket until a vaccine has been found or the Chinese Virus is eradicated from society. In fact, this might just give me the excuse to not ever go back.

Was there an option for them to ‘stick it up their arse?’

Weeks ago I thought I'd just say keep it..... but the more I think about it , why do I want them bailed out ?
I support the club but want regime change ?
Dilemma !
As for putting it towards next seasons ticket ... they're getting a bit ahead of themselves aren't they ?
Will we fans be back ?
Will there be a winter attack ?
Will fans want to go back ?

Fans will be back in grounds no later than Nov 1st but probably well before that if DCMS approve the use of the Spanish crowd spacing app,

I think if the club could offer a discount on next season's shirts for those who don't want a refund that would be a decent gesture.
Alternatively, produce a limited shirt, say to be worn once next season with the NHS logo and proceeds to the NHS like Carlisle City have.
Those who have not claimed the money back get a half price limited shirt and others can buy at full price.

All Clubs should do their warm-up Kit as such this coming Season IMO, and sell them with profits to localised NHS Charities etc

I am not a season ticket holder but I am happy for the club to keep the money I paid for the Orient ticket.
However , if I do not claim refunds for the away games at Grimsy and Northampton which club/s then gets to keep the money?

You don't need an excuse to not go to games. It's your choice. Don't make out that it's someone else's fault you aren't going to the matches.

I know I am going to get absolutely slated for this and I’m not quite sure how to put my point over.

I use sport, and particularly CUFC as escapism from life. Football is tribal, it can be unifying, but it has also helped me through very tough times. Going to see United home or away allowed me to lose myself when I saw players whose names I knew, the shirts with Olga on and then the crest. Now it tends to be another advert for some medical issue or mental health issue. As well-meaning as this is, it can also add to the individual’s issues. Maybe a free sew on or iron on label could be the answer so the individual can make the choice.

The numbers on the back of the shirts used to have the prostrate cancer logo on them – now it’s Mind. A kid who’s lost his dad to cancer is given a shirt by his mum for his birthday with his favourite player’s number on the back. He now has to look at the cancer logo every time he puts the shirt on. I don’t believe that’s going to make him check himself but it will remind him he’s lost his dad. Ditto with the mental health stuff.

I won’t have explained it well but if it helps to understand the point I’m making, I have suffered from depression for 40 years – very severe at times - have had very close loved one’s with cancer and PTSD. It can be horrific at times as some of you will sadly know. I don’t want to be reminded of this when I go to see something that was special to me in my younger days to take me away from my life’s problems.

I’ve ponded posting this but then thought that someone else might understand or, even better, I’m the only one who thinks this.

This is not a slight on anyone’s thoughts or the NHS frontline, who you will hopefully not have to meet too often, and can be wonderful.
