We slate the board for being an old boys club & stuck in the past. This forum isn’t that progressive either.

Don't get you fishy, are you insinuating that GM is of a certain persuasion, it would surprise me as I have seen him in some photos with what look like page three girls.

I think it’s more to do with Mouldy, a board admins, Brighton comments. Reiterated my points I made yesterday.

Obviously the headings a typo, can no one change it.

Ah I see now, didn't spot any typo.

Was going to say like, am sure there was some photos posted on here or the old site with him and what looked like birds from one of the porn channels with their jugs out and he seemed to be enjoying himself....

As for Cardiff Warnock loves his strikers and Madine is doing well in a poor team, Bolton would be bottom without him and their fans really rate him.

Could yet achieve playing in The Premier League.

He had everything when he was with us bar finishing nous, this has obviously improved a little bit hence his lengthy career in Scottish football, I think he has played all of it in the top flight.

Frustrating player when he was with us as he missed countless sitters and easy chances.

Cardiff have had two improved bids for him turned down today apparently, Bolton don't want to sell.

Also reading Boro are interested in re-signing Charlie Wyke, god knows why with the forwards they already have. Interestingly Bradford issued a statement yesterday to quash rumours he had a £250,000 release clause in his contract. Sounds familiar!

Came back on loan to try to help us avoid relegation and showed more desire and commitment than a lot of that squad at the time - he cared and scored a decent return given how poor the squad was

I can understand peoples perceptions of him off the pitch but on it Carlisle United matters to him.

Only got a few minutes mind but opinion was always split whether he would ever make it there and I always believed that he would.

When he came back here on loan last time you could see how his game had come on and his commitment in a game is unquestionable.

Whether he can kick on and establish himself as a Premier League player however is down to him taking his chance when he gets it I guess but a Championship club would probably come sniffing if not.

One of the oddest moves ever really.

Not just that he played for Sheffield Wednesday but didn't he go to prison for twa tting two of Sheffield Uniteds fans in a nightclub calling them pigs?

Great player but isn't playing, shame he didn't score in the top flight but got limited game time so should start for Sheffield United and could fire them up to the top flight.

I thought he assaulted both a Wednesday and United fan in the same night club on the same night. Madine will be nothing more than a thug by the end of his career.

Odd that they went for him!

He can probably do a job for them but the history there is a bit chequered.

Could be that he gets them up and they fancy signing him but then Cardiff go down then want to keep him to get them back up.

That ReluctantNicko reckons he’s on over £30k a week!

Not bad for a Championship standard player, especially on a 3.5yr deal, that’s roughly £6m for duration of contract...

Madine is a reasonably decent striker on his day, but hardly a world beater.
Seems something a bit messed up about it when a proud club like Carlisle United is having to beg, steal and borrow loanees and yet someone like him is earning so much.
Must be hard to take for ex-players that were involved in the game 20 years ago when they see average players earning millions from the game.

He earned it though ploughing his trade at Carlisle United.

Didn't he come back to us on loan and scored about three goals in five games to try to stop us getting relegated when we were in League One under Kavanagh?

Good on him I say and I am glad he succeeded in the game.

If he has a spare 600k he could be the new club owner!

Two and a half weeks wages could buy Nadesan….

I work with a Sheffield United fan and he's furious. He says that Madine is so unpopular there that it could actually turn fans against Wilder despite their league position.

As well as his other list of crimes mentioned, he was also caught on video a couple of years ago taking the piss out of Billy Sharp. I think that's somewhat akin to how we would feel if someone was having a go at, say, Jabo or Michael Bridges.

Gary Madine and Tony Kane were always in the bookies at the top of Warwick Road. He was quite polite and wouldn't have said boo to a goose. Obviously a bit different with a drink inside him and maybe the fame went to his head!

Strange move though.
