Disappointed a quality respected company can get on board and not improve our lot. Their refusal to make a statement has created uncertainty as to their true motives and is doing their reputation harm.

Honestly can’t see it doing much harm to their reputation long term in comparison to how highly the locals would view the company should any form of ‘takeover’ come to fruition. But I think everyone just wants to know what the set up is now- if it’s just a funding facility so the current brass can continue then say that, it’s just getting tedious for me now.

I’m thankful the money has been there so I can continue to watch CUFC but sadly I’m just watching it die and no longer go to games excited or expecting a win. It’s becoming harder to convince myself. I’m not sure anymore if a promotion would even increase gates all that much.

I say to them well theyre preventing new ownership to which i get well no one wants to buy us anyway or if they do they havent come out and said so. Hard to argue with them tbh.

How can you buy something that isn't up for sale ?

Well personally if i suddenly came into money the first thing id prob do towards buying it would be to get in touch with that nice Mr Colman at the news and star and tell him to put a nice story out and also include that the trust can [censored] right off as well.

Daz nobody more than me hoped that Day would turn out to be the White knight we all thought that he might be but look at the facts tho they just don't make any sense, do they?

If as you think Jenkins and Pioneer will go for nothing why is Day waiting? he could have called the loan in during the summer and Jenkins would of been either stumping up 2.5 million of his own money to stay in charge or walking or Day could have made him an offer of say 500k to go [ which he will only have to pay eventually anyway to meet this year deficit ].

So what can possibly be the advantages of this Austerity programme? All they're going to end up with next summer is a club with literally no players and waste of not only this season but next as well while they build a new team. Does he really think you can achieve success by building a team with players on half the average wage of the rest of the league never mind those of the teams in the top 3?

Surely if he was serious about taking over and bringing success he would have put a million in, hired a proper manager, retained the likes of Adams, pissed the league and increased turnover by 500k meaning he.d only be that 500k down on the deal exactly the same figure he.ll be putting in to fund the deficit that this season of shite will deliver. Its really not rocket science or advanced mathematics and despite what the flat earth fantasist types will tell you the club that spends the most historically has the greatest chance of success.

Can anyone possibly explain to me how the policy of not speaking to the media or fans can have a positive influence in the long run or indeed make any sense in the short term? Now Day might be used to playing his cards close to his chest in the world of retail corporate takeovers but somehow I can't see Mike Ashley sneaking in and nicking this one off him, can you?

And then we come to the final part of the jigsaw that doesn't fit. When did a programme of Austerity ever achieve success in the FL? the simple answer is never but then again maybe Day a man who doesn't even like the sport or attend matches thinks he knows better than people who.ve studied the game for the best part of 50 years or indeed its historical statistics.

The simple truth in the Football League nowadays is if you're not able or willing to spend more than your rivals you're totally wasting your own money and time and that of the club concerned.s supporters.

Dazwacky said PD is getting richer every day. I wonder if that is actually true. The whole high street is suffering at the moment. I can't believe EWM's businesses are somehow immune even with their middle aged customers probably not as inclined to buy online as some other chains. Because EWM is private they have got used to a lack of transparency so I don't expect any news anytime soon.

PD is buying a lot of farms and putting Biomas power plants on them and selling the energy back each one is making 10k plus per day the forecasted returns are amazing pay for themselves after 3 years and sure its a 40 year agreement and I'm sure this is his own personal fortune could be wrong though so even after ten years that's £36 million plus return for one god knows how many he has built but there's 3 just off the M6 at Penrith ;-)

Yes I have mentioned it, its a cash cow what he is doing but you need a lot of money to do it!! rumored build for one is 10 million so for example he builds 20 with an outlay of 200 million a ten year return on them on the forecast figures is 730 million!! I was told it was a 40 year deal don't know how much truth is in that part of it though but still its a hell of a lot better rate than banks will ever pay just need him to spend some on CUFC

If PD's retail empire was supposedly worth a billion pounds at the beginning of the year then given what's been happening on the high street it must now be worth half that at most. Mike Ashley said November was catastrophic for the high street and Asos confirmed that online was poor as well. Autumn weather was abnormally warm. December while quite mild has been rain-sodden. What do EWM specialise in - knitwear!!! Who buys knitwear when it is 10C in December!!! PD bought Jane Norman which he eventually folded into Peacocks to cut his losses. He dodged a bullet missing out on House of Fraser as it would have been a heavy loss-maker.

It is ironic that EWM are so stringent with their loan to the club when the value of their UK retail business has probably fallen by at least the same amount every day so far in 2018.

325 shops for less than 6 million

Got to look a more attractive deal than a starved of investment football club.

I know that it is prerogative to spend his cash how he would like but....

Why tarnish yourself by getting involved in Carlisle United unless it was transparent that the money given was a loan that will start the takeover and confusing people.

Fair enough if it was just a kind gesture and that is the end of it then thank you and we will move on but you need to make a statement to that point.

This technically is another Kurdi Billionaire takeover thing that will go on for years.

A lot of the time whenever you try arguing with Barry he goes off in a rant talking about breaking windows and other nonsense like that. It's difficult to have a proper debate with someone who thinks the real world is an action movie. Can you blame people if they can't be arsed to argue with someone like that?

None of your business.

I might tell you next season if I spot you down the ground and you still work there.

An open forum if you would like whilst you are at work.

Nah, usually too busy when working, can't allow distractions. Plus if it's none of my business, surely you wouldn't want to talk to me about it ever, regardless of whether on here or at the ground?

Don't tell Northernsoul - he'll think it's all under his bed!

Brave when you know that he is banned - just like Bluebry.

Shows a yellow underbelly when you have a swipe and the recipient cannot reply.

Says a lot about the pair of you.

I'm not banned you Muppet.

Showing your lack of English Bry or pretending to be daft.

I was talking to UD and referring to yourself as in being brave.

Glad that I could clear up this up and explain it to you like a child you muppet.

So how exactly are they being brave then Munchy?

Nah, usually too busy when working, can't allow distractions. If you're this rude by snapping "none of your business" at me in response to a perfectly reasonable question, why would I speak to you at the ground? That's rather two faced.

Fair enough that you like to mouth off on here and I kindly offer to discuss it with you in a cordial manner as I know that you are a lady steward at the games in the East Stand so I didn't mean it in a threatening manner obviously, I would just rather answer your questions directly to yourself - last time you were skiving off and just chatting to random people so I am sure that you can find the time for to answer questions that you 'demand' answering on here if it means that much to you.

I am not as bothered about it as you seem to be - your call.
