Early days but always like to have a look at how ex-players are getting on.

Stockton - Thought it was quite noticeable that some of the fans seemed on his back when he fluffed a chance on Saturday, seems to divide opinion, with some suggesting he is contributing well to the overall play and others not keen. He has been a regular starter.

Ellis - Seems to be starting regularly and doing pretty well

Lambe - started first couple of games and has since been dropped to the bench.

Adams - Seems really positive for him that has got through a number of games. Doesn’t seem to have set the world alight so far, but this is understandable after a long lay-off.

Joyce - was his usual steady self against us, but Port Vale fans were bemoaning their lack of creativity and being too defensive , I think he’s always going to be the kind of player that looks good in a winning team but when you are struggling to create chances, people will start to wonder if he is the best option.

I asked a Tranmere fan about Ellis a few weeks ago and he said he was stuck on the bench. Obviously must have broken into the side in recent matches.

Shows how quick a Career can dip. Left Inverness in Jan as he was costing them too much after relegation, signed a short term at Wrexham until the end of the Season, now lands at Warrington...

Considering how many injury problems Raven has had in his career he deserves credit for keeping going as long as he has. Was surprised to see he's only 33.

Ellis got into Tranmere's side after one of their players got injured, done well since.

Tranmere supporting mate at work said Shamal George had a bit of a stinker last night.

Curran's signed a three year deal with them lot. Dundee United must be in a bad way, Jim McLean will be turning in his grave.

Rigg's got three goals for Gateshead this season. Cameron Salkeld is starting quite a few games for them as well.

Seems to be Salkeld and Connor Thomson (Who followed Kinder to Blackburn) swop every week between starting and the bench, and usually replacing each other...

Keogh's had a great career at Derby but has always been a bit mishap prone. Made a crucial mistake in the play off final a few years back. Likes an own goal, too.

Something about clumsy Irish central defenders, Richard Dunne being another prime example.
