Just heard the sad news. Thought the Buzzcocks were a great band.
I just missed them live at the time but saw Magazine live a few years back and they were great.
Must have been great to have been in Manchester late 70s\early 80s.
So many excellent bands.
Brave as well to talk so frankly about being gay in the early 80s. Not an easy thing to do in those days.
Anyone on here get to see them live back in the day?

They played at the Market Hall in Carlisle in March 1979. I’d also seen them at the City Hall in Newcastle in 1978. Another Music in a Different Kitchen is still one of my 50 favourite albums.

If you don’t know your shit, you won’t know you’re shit.

I saw them at Newcastle Poly in late 70s-were supported by Penetration-Pauline Murray.

Just listened to them fawning over Pete Shelley on R5-absolutely pathetic interviewers who appeared to be jumping on the bandwagon-John Marr was embarrassed and struggling to stop laughing at their questions.

I bet they don’t play ‘Orgasm Addict’ on the radio!!
