Often a hard pitch at Penrith - especially in this weather - which could be the reason behind Elliott, Jones and Webster’s absence but Collin nowhere to be seen again is concerning

Is Buckley-Ricketts that 'slight' black lad who played against Hibernian, if so he didn't look too bad the other night and had a few decent runs.

Finished 4-0, Galloway with the 4th. Over 2000 at the ground apparently.

Was thinking Reeves really needed to get on the scoresheet in this one, but he didn’t.

More chance of Vic reeves getting on the score sheet, terrible. Buckley whatsit wasn't much better. The 16 year old right back was very good. Nkp, douffus, mellish all played well but there was not much in front of them. Mckirdy did OK. Need wingers and strikers very badly.

Brunt wasn't great, but first game and all that

Weird that you should say that Seesaw as I was going to use the same comparison but thought about it and Rod Thomas was far more stockier.

Buckley-Ricketts did seem to have something about him though.

That Buckley-Richards will be a frustrating one if we sign him. Looks like he's always got more to come but today he was disappointing overall. McKirdy looks like he could be a real player for us this season, great feet and always showing for the ball. Liked the look of Knight-Percival and Duffus today as well. Reeves was very disappointing, considering Penrith is a similar level to where he was playing last season I thought he'd show more than he did today.

Buckley-Ricketts!

Was very impressed with Josh Galloway today - did more running than his Dad managed in a few seasons for us!

Harry Mckirdy look the best player on the pitch today only Tyrone Duffus is worth another look of the trialists (not including the young lad from Villa)

A disjointed first half, featuring some poor dead-ball routines.

Much better second half from the young lads.

1st half was just a training exercise. Obviously a few of the seniors were left out due to concerns over injuries on the pitch, it was like a sandpit.

In terms of performances 1st half, nobody stood out particularly. McKirdy was lively, Bridge and Mellish both tidy and used the ball well, but it really was a nothing half, just a 45 mins workout.

2nd half had more about it, felt like more of a game, and the young lads impressed. Galloway the striker definitely has something about him, great movement and he set up the goal for Kerr and also scored himself, one to watch there. Kerr also decent, and took his goal well.

2,736 is given on the official site.

That's got to be incorrect? That's more than the Carlisle v Hibs match that included over 1,000 away fans

Looking at the photos it doesn't look packed to capacity. They usually get around 1,000 for this fixture.

Like others, I enjoyed the second half more than the first. It’s difficult to judge anyone in a game like that but I’ll give credit to McKirdie for his work rate. No end product from him but that might be due to lack of movement from others.

Jarrad Branflake had another decent half.

Whenever I saw Barmcake playing in the youth team, he was at centre back.
