I’d have played Fela over Hope but that’s the team I expected to see.

Also, sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but did anyone know the last remaining L2 side in the completion get £250k prize money? Northampton are already through but a further money incentive to make the 4th round... not sure what happens if we both go out at the same stage however!

Sod the 250k we want a nice cup draw :)

Yes it would come in handy right now, as they say 'money goes to money' and it is currently flying in.

Northampton fans will be rubbing their hands together at this fixture and Keith will already have the money spent in his head.

Down to us to stop this happening.

The worst thing about this game is that in my head I know that it will not be decided by footballing genius but instead by defensive errors with players staring at each other looking at who to blame.

The team I'd have picked but Olomola as CF rather than Hope.

Hope couldn't kill you. If he fired a gun at you from six yards away, he'd probably shoot himself in the foot.

Sounds like a good atmosphere tonight - worst time to concede.

Come on Carlisle - this is Cardiff reserves!

It's true they're the reserves, but how many millions did this Cardiff team cost?

Anyway, we're far from out of the game.

Scramble a goal early doors in the second half then you never know...

Flint cost what, £7 million or something?

How many Byron Websters could you sign for that? Thousands probably, enough to invade Poland.

That's Danny Ward - £1.6 million base fee.

So the three players who scored against us tonight cost Cardiff £20 million (plus add ons).

If nothing else, conceding four again will hopefully mean we see Hayden and Hunt come into the centre of defence in place of Webster & Mellish.

It's only January and McKirdy has 11 goals and 7 assists.

Say what you like about his attitude but we'd already be down without his contributions this season.

Quote of the night - well on comes Charters, one of the few who have come through the youth system who hasn't been sold.

Lummy - 'Yer, they are all for sale'!

Excellent commentary and a good atmosphere.

So angry these [censored] suits are destroying the club and have turned us into a feeder team!

We now need to get the same commitment and effort from the players in the league especially over the next few games to give us some breathing space and then a steady climb to safety.
Or we will sink into the mire and I wouldn't want to bet on us staying up. The ability is obviously there in the team just needs the commitment and consistency in the league games.

It makes sense to forget to include a ticket or two off the official attendance.

This means we have to pay Cardiff less and also probably means we can give Holdsworth a bit of liquidity to grease the palms of an agent to bring in signing number four of the window.

He'll be filling up a brown envelope and making his way to Little Chef for an Olympic breakfast as we speak.

Best I’ve seen us play this season, just a shame we give away too many soft goals and are shit in the air. First half we looked well up for it, good tempo to our attacks and unfortunate with a McKirdy screamer off the bar and great effort from Scougall well saved. Two headers lost in the box and somehow we went in behind.

From then on were always chasing the game but battled well and probably deserved something out of it to be honest. Nobody dominant in the air, especially at the back, poor goalkeeping performance from Collin and little presence up front lost us the game. Great cup-tie though.

Shame about the 20 minute queue to get a ticket beforehand though which mean many missed the first goal. They’ll never learn.
