Newport are a hard tough team. Every challenge in the air gets a forearm in the back of the neck.
So let’s play the biggest wuss we have, Jack Bridge.
I give up.

It doesn't seem to have helped them, they've lost nine out of their last ten league games on the road.

Make that 2 wins in 11.
This is CU, if you haven’t won for a while we are always happy to end your poor run.
Good to see Kayode playing though, that’s a bonus

Bridge fouled in the box for the penalty, a harder man would have stayed upright :-)

You should get yourself to BP more often instead of forming your judgement off some stats website.

On Saturday Colchester were the best side I've seen at Brunton Park this season.

Tonight Newport were the worst side I've seen at Brunton Park this season.

A still photo proves nothing.

How did the ball get there? What was the context of it?

It could well be cast iron when the rest of it is taken into consideration, but on its own it proves nothing.

Credit to Bridge, when he plays a bit wider he’s a far more effective player then when he plays central. Thought that was possibly his best performance for us tonight.

Worst team I’ve seen at BP in a very long time, we wernt great but it’s a results business.

Worst refereeing display I’ve ever seen too.

Special mentions to Jack Bridge - his best performance at Carlisle & Aaron hayden schooled Almond and Matt who tried to isolate themselves against him.

Indeed, why let the football get in the way of a good buff.

Frustrating when you have to reset the channel to get back to it.

It would be nice if we could start hitting the back of the net a bit more often from the number of chances we’re creating, would help the side play with more confidence and less nail biting for the rest of us.

Bridge was a totally different player last night, loads of energy and every time he ran at their defence they were back tracking. I think he gave more than Thomas and that we were better going forward before the change.

He even managed a solid tackle, maybe playing for a new contract or hopefully Beech has got him to change the way he plays.

I thought last night showed just how much football is played in the head, not with the feet.

On Saturday we gave it a go for the first 15 minutes, then the doubts started. Colchester had no doubts, they were well drilled, knew how to play as a team and believed in themselves, we are still very fragile and it didn't take long for our belief to evaporate.

Last night was different again. Newport as a team had no belief in themselves. I don't know what's gone wrong there, they still have some good players. Almond and Matt tore us apart at times last season. Last night there wasn't a spark of their former selves.

Beech obviously has done more than throw teacups since Saturday, we played more like a team. Haydon guided Hunt and when thMatt came on and tried to throw his weight and height about Anderton kept a watchful eye so Hunt didn't have to deal with him alone.

I thought Bridge had a hell of a game, probarbly the best I've seen him play.

Having speed up front gave us outlets, just about all the cogs fitted into the team and we believed in ourselves.
