These are seriously going to change the welcome to Carlisle, well if you turn left from the Station!
They should reinstate the arch between the Citadels.
Turn left into that from the station, a great first impression of Carlisle, turn right onto Botchergate, and you'd get back on the train.

The animation which shows a cloudless blue sky and pure white buildings makes Carlisle look like Athens or somewhere on Lanzarote..
Thing is the stations getting rejigged too, so the entrance will be on the other side. Most passengers won't see the rejuvenated citadel area but the back arse of metal box and a car park where the baths used to be
Foot Passengers will still be using the current entrance though…
