Rumour? Co-incidence? Unrelated?

Keith Hill... Not a fan, JohnMc?
Interested in your thoughts?
I wouldn't be against it TBH... But, don't know too much, other than looking at his previous record

Turns on players and fans everywhere he goes. A poisonous individual

I'm with JohnMc.

Bringing in Beech's mentor isn't the answer.

Kieth Hill would be nothing short of a disaster the man is more tactically inept than beech

Can't believe people are wanting Sheridan back. The man dropped us like a stone and has absolutely no loyalty to anyone

I like young upcoming managers but with our league status potentially on the line AGAIN this season I think an appointment of someone with experience who can drag us to safety is what's warranted.

Whoever comes in they've still got to deal with those absolute f&#£wits in charge. They're the real problem, they're like a cancer slowly going about their business destroying our club.

I wouldn't take Hill after what happened at Tranmere.

By all accounts, the players hated him as he was "too old school", whatever that means, and stopped playing for him.

It's got to have been a pretty awful situation for him to have been sacked on the eve of the play-offs. Is this what we need at our club right now?

I’d have Keith Hill but would be extremely surprised if he came here.

Keith millen has legs, mates with Holdsworth so a shoe in.

He's also an experienced manager who knows how to drag teams away from relegation battles, and guide teams into the play-offs.
Exactly the type of manager we need right now.

Good points, all adds to a decent debate. Just hope they / we get it right this time.

Keith Curle - fair play he assembled a good squad.

Shows what an average manager he is that he couldn’t get that group of players promoted even with big bonuses and incentives.

I don't hold Beech as 'to blame' TBH... Losing your best CB, and then a bloody good full back in the opening weeks is a disaster... Anywhere.
Beech was told to get on with it... Pre-season worthless. Dressing room atmosphere - knackered.
Low and behold, 2nd bottom 10 games in. What do we expect?
Never mind, offering Zanzala less wages than Barrow... The board and their lacky, Holdsworth are to blame.
They have a predicament now... Cheap wage manager and much the same, or take the bullet and appoint someone who's been there, done it, knows the score, but who they can't control and wants to spend cash to solve the issues they created in the first place?
Shambles.

Not sure you can blame Nixon for playing a goalkeeper who spent the entire game rooted to his line; or a striker who stood still watching the game more than most of the Paddock.
Hopefully after Tuesday, Skelton gets the message and plays Young from the start, let's see. Clibbins was responsible for not renewing Curle's contract. If Oldham win on Saturday Curle will have a smile about 4 foot across his face. If Clibbins has to face that in reception, Skelton will be lucky to get a job licking the BP bog bowls clean

Let’s face it, whoever comes in is hardly going to have the best CV around and people are always going to find a fault; inexperienced, journeyman, crap style of play, never been promoted, etc, etc.

Personally I like seeing clubs think outside the box a little and look as though they’ve put a bit of work into finding a decent choice, Swansea have always impressed me in this respect. There’s nothing worse than a boring, lazy appointment of a tired old journeyman manager who clubs see as a safe option.

Someone in the ilk of Neil Critchley who Blackpool appointed from Liverpool’s youth set-up would be a good choice, although you could say Beech was of the same manner and that didn’t turn out great.

Keith Hill's odds are shortening on BV and Skybet...

An appointment so ill-fitting, short-sighted and grim it is inevitably true.

What a joke these idiots are

Deliberately waiting until after the Oldham game with their fingers crossed that we win so they can take the cheapest option.
Although beating a club in a worse state than we are shouldn't count as making him the right choice.

Probably seen how much of a similar basket case we are to what he saw at Swindon prior to their change of ownership.

All pointing to Skelton now imo. Beat Oldham and wouldn’t be surprised if it’s made official by 6pm Saturday evening.

Little bit of money coming in for Paul Arnison. I'd be happy giving that a go.
