At least they can say they took their time and gave it a lot of thought before announcing an utterly underwhelming choice!

David and Dean Holdsworth are both 33/1 with Sky Bet.
The dream team to take us where we belong!

Sounds like a decision will be made next week.

Or the logistics surrounding who they want mean it’s practical to bring them in early next week?

Have they interviewed yet?

Skelton to remain in charge for the game Saturday.

Sounds like a decision will be made next week.

The lack of any sort of info or news coming out of the flub at this vital time is disappointing to say the least, there should be some urgency given our precarious position.
The best way to pick a new manager is to have prospective candidates watch a match and training then put forward their thoughts on what needed to done to get the team playing to their strengths and start getting results.
I remember a one Bob Stokoe been given the job through that process and he came in and didn’t make any signings to start with but got the team performing.

With the advent of ifollow etc I think most do it with videos. When Lee Johnson was interviewed at Bristol C he turned up with a video he prepared of the team. He showed why they were conceding goals, how to cure it, and a list of players he could sign.

Nigel Adkins is getting the job, you heard it here first.

Amazed nobody spotted one out of work Manager at the Match on Saturday! :p

Neil McDonald or Lee Clark would be my guess.

They're always lurking about like a bad smell!

Keith Curle was the same I believe.

John Sheridan on the other hand was just on his hols and popped in at the Crown at Wetheral for a shandy and got the job. By the look of the photos at the time anyway!

Thinking on...

Kuqi played with McGreal at Ipswich.

Maybe the ticket is McGreal as head coach with Kuqi as his assistant...

Shefki Kuqi enters the betting from miles to the left and is now one of the favourites.

He could probably do a job for us upfront, nevermind as manager, he's only 44 so can't be much slower than Alessandra.

McGreal still favourite, was odds on at one point but has drifted to 6/4.

Jenkins is so out of touch with what the fans think, expect and see as success, it genuinely wouldn’t surprise me if he thinks Skelton is the man the fanbase want.

We should wait and see, shouldn't we?

Obviously, if you have low expectations it will reduce your disappointment if Skelton gets the job, but I don't think there's any real justification for thinking that, yet.

Seeing as Jenkins isn't exactly topping out in the popularity stakes at the minute, would he dare give Skelton the job?

Would there even be any fan backlash?
Well if that’s the case , we’ve truly fell a long way down the slippery slopes. Oblivion beckons. Very , very sad

Crunch- why do you think Skelton is impressing them? Avoiding a defeat against 9 men?

Yeah. You’ve answered your own question. I think they’ll see last night as Skelton turning the corner. Remember our board have very low standards.

Nice article about Bruce in the Telegraph for the Tories on here.

For those to the left, Angela Raynor may be available

Don’t read The Daily Torygraph owned by The Barclays family who choose not to live in the country so they don’t have to pay tax !!!

I’ve been camped in the tree just along from AJ’s house since early Mon morn and can confirm nothing has occurred yet…

Let me know when you run out of food and wetwipes, I'll drop some more off.

Of course with Keith Curle returning on Saturday he might be tapped up for a return to the hot seat. :D

Steve Bruce is available now…

:p

Bruce booted Holdsworth out at Birmingham.

Zero chance Davros would consider him.

It's a big appointment and the ramifications of a bad one could be very far reaching.

Having said that even with the squad we've got and a couple of additions in January you would have to be pretty shite not to get us up the table a bit.

Tisdale would probably be the pick of all the names mentioned but I've a feeling Danny Grainger might get it.

With Big Dave, John Nixon and Steve Patt picking the new incumbent what could possibly go wrong.
