On the list of possible managerial candidates I have Sarll just below Ian Huntley's ghost and slightly above Martin Wilkinson.

How come there's such a lack of Intel about who the likely candidate is when usually there are all sorts of jungle drums from folk 'in the know'?

They're just throwing Sarll's name out there so Skelton looks a better option.

Who would you rather have?

Honestly.

We need an appointment which is going to capture the imagination of the fans (in a positive way).

I don’t think they are that crazy to bring him though.

This is Carlisle United…

If it’s taken longer to get a manager to excite the supporters than fair enough.

If it’s taken this long to get a struggling manager in the league below then that’s shite.

I don’t think they are that crazy to bring him though.

The names been bandied about right now are far from inspiring.

It can’t literally be anyone. You do know what literally means?
Apologies for the poor choice of language, but I think you can understand the point I’m trying to make.

What a shocking appointment Sarll would be.

For one he’d probably do a shite job and with attendances low it would probably be the most uninspiring choice that would create an even more negative atmosphere among the fan base. Surely the club aren’t that stupid. Surely!

I’d drive Keith Hill here if Sarll is the alternative. In fact I’d hire him a chauffeur driven limo if it means Sarll doesn’t get the job.

Worth bearing in mind Beech’s name wasn’t even in the running with any of the bookies until the day before or day he was appointed. It literally could be anyone, I wouldn’t bank on any of these price changes being accurate.

Sarll:

Sounds like he has the same mentality as our glorious leaders in the directors’ box

I really hope it’s not him.

I heard Darren Wassall from Derby was interested - hopefully someone punting on the wrong name.

Davey Irons also there.

Surprised it’s taken you this long to drop his name in!!!

:p

He left Stenhousemuir in the summer. Says he can fit it in alongside his work as a scuffer.

Colin Calderwood spotted at Claire’s buying two sausage rolls and aChelsea bun.

Might be a coincidence but . . .

Best manager ever to come out of Stranraer.
