The manager with the best stats ever for Carlisle had probably never been north of Watford, this was Mervyn Day

W 32 d14 L16 51.61%

Do you mean apart from the 2 years at Aston Villa and 8 years at Leeds?

No way Phil Brown is coming in...not enough SunBed Shops in Carlisle to keep his orange tan topped up.

Wouldn't complain at Flynn, he's shown he can do it in this league but I guess Newport aren't run in the same shambolic way we are.

Didn't Westley just have a team of 6ft+ lumps at Stevenage?? Another Hoofball merchant?

I'm not sure Paul Tisdale's clobber would fit in down Botchergate. :D

He did OK at Exeter but it didn't end too well at MK Dons and Bristol Rovers.

Has he ever been North of Bristol?:

Remember the good old days when we could get Bob stokoe to come and manage us, 7 years after he'd won the fa cup?
That'd be like getting Wenger in now.....

I was just thinking about how we could possibly get someone of the calibre of Bob Stokoe.

Would he work with Holdsworth? Managers out there actively advertising they want to work with a Director of Football. Recently updated wiki pages. I can see it happening

Tisdale- Tisdale's uncle is Game of Thrones actor James Faulkner who played Randyll Tarly in the show. Imagine if we could get a dragon

Maybe this is all part of the great plan so we will all be happy bunnies if we manage to avoid relegation instead of expecting promotion.
We need to put real pressure on the owners to go this succession plan has yet again dragged on and on with not even a hint of where it’s going, just like the billionaire farce.
The disappointment to me is how easily people who came forward as potential new owners were so easily brushed aside. Knighton threatened to close the club but JC persisted until he achieved getting shot of him, which ultimately led to FS taking over before he consigned us to the bin by giving it to the present incompetents.
Other than being very wealthy is PD any better than the likes of Knighton.

We can speculate all we want.

As long as Holdsworths still here it’ll be someone he knows, played with and cheap.

That’s what’s wrong with this club, no accountability due to being friends and only hired cause your friends.

Oh football friend!

Whoever, if we ever get taken over we need to stop this and get the best person available for each job.

The decision will presumably be made by Holdsworth, Kid and Clibbens as they run the show. AJ and his crew haven't decided anything for a few years now.

Curle just signed the good players from all the other clubs
Pressley signed Scottish lower league players
Beech had his expected goals and players taken out by a pass stats.
None of them got anywhere.

Kinder is the jewel in the crown, he brings in the youngsters.

It might be worth bringing in Flynn or Sheridan (if they would come) on a short-term contract until 30/6 just to steady the ship. Both of them have enough experience to get us 12th with the players we have, I think. Then we plan for next season

Yet again you have the football knowledge of a goldfish.
Flynn is good odds to be next Cardiff boss. But I’m sure he’d much prefer a 9 month contract in Carlisle.

See when I wrote, if he would come? That means I thought he might not come. You can tell by the words

For me Andy Morrison would be a great option, a really fighter and did a great job with Connah’s Quay.

No way.

He's a complete 100% arsehole and would take the club into the gutter.

There 'll be plenty of applications of that there is no doubt. League managers jobs are not that easy to come by.

We're not a team of world beaters by any stretch of the imagination but no way we're the third worst team in League 2.

Hill and McInnes would rock the boat too much for Jenks and Co and Flynn will have a better job lined up I would think.

I completely disagree with the talk that no experienced manager would come here. There are lots of decent experienced managers out of work who need a job and salary and certainly excess good managers to available jobs.

I’d go with Keith Hill or Mike Flynn. If Derek mcinnes was interested he’d be a good option.

I liked Beech. He steadied an appalling ship brought in good talent. You could argue he’s paid for himself in backing hayden and signing tanner and others capable of commanding a fee. Sale of both didn’t help clearly but letting Farman go was a nuts decision.

Any decent manager should be able to put a decent structure to what is a decent squad anc pull us away from trouble comfortably

On a very serious note supporters must realise that we have not got the players and particularly
Goalscorers .Neither do we have the money for players. We have a real probability of relegation unless the club can be sold to a moneybags quickly.I appeal to BOD to sell the club as quickly as possible.
Another possibility would be for Larry to takeover with a consortium then float CUFC on Aim market
then supporters and wealthy individuals could buy shares to avoid Inheritance tax.
Is that a possibility Andrew?
Would have to agree. A very savvy guy
