There's always been a bit of bother when fans invade the pitch but players getting assaulted and abused seems a lot more prevalent this year.

Billy Sharpe getting headbutted, and problems at Port Vale, Northampton and Everton last night.

I always remember the mighty Leeds manager Simon Grayson being vexed that a couple of fans had bumped into Leeds players after that penalty shoot out at BP. :D

I am no fan of Viera but if that clown hadn't been there it wouldn't have happened. It is against the law to be on the pitch after all .

The angle I saw Vieira didn’t seem to make that much contact anyway, sort of hung his leg out and the fan who was wearing slip-ons lost his balance and went over very easily.
