Premier League fans are going to get to go to a game before the end of the season.
We are going to have to wait until August.
By 5pm today we will almost certainly be unable to qualify for the play-offs mathematically.
Barrow are safe.
How about a post-season two legged semi-competitive match, between us and Barrow, raising money for good causes?
Surely there would be a reasonable turn out in these exceptional circumstances. Who's in?
I am happy to accept a 10% cut of the gate money.

Clubs have each lost about £1.5m. Two legged would be a good idea with the home team keeping the gate receipts

As soon as that whistle blows just before 5pm next Saturday, every Player not involved in Play-Offs will be switched off and out of town for a few weeks...

These are exceptional circumstances though and their calendars should be free.

I can’t see the players wanting to stay on for another two weeks to play friendlies with Barrow. :D

Or how about those six arsehole premiership clubs fined about £25 million each the price of a bog standard striker...to be dished out to clubs in the footballing pyramid

Actually thinking about it double that 50 mill is a better starting point....much better than a pointless points deduction or cup ban

This would be a fantastic idea 'if' we had got promoted.

I don't like the idea if them basking in their glory of safety whilst scoffing at us at our failure and celebrating another season of mediocracy.

In most sports they would be investigating our stupendous fall from the top as an irregularity and that someone/people are up to no good.

Premier League saving about £80m of Parachute Payments as Norwich and Watford are going straight back up.

They simply share it amongst their few instead of potentially creating some serious goodwill after the last Season and a bit..

I’m honestly not arsed one bit about a post season friendly, particularly one against Barrow. Not appealing at all. I don’t think the players of either side would be motivated one bit, especially the ones who’ll be moving on.

preseason friendlies will begin in early July. Just wait till then, at least it will be leading to something and players will be fresh and ready to get going plus we should have some new signings to see.

Cheers guys , some good blue sky thinking here. So, I'm going to take a rain check for now, maybe next year.
Anyhow, we might get in the play-offs.

When you say no attendance until August, I thought crowds were allowed in for the last two games?
