While I am happy with the result I think today proved Beech is not the manager to take us forward. Surely we should have been looking to next season by trying out players who will be here next season. Instead what we got was the same old rubbish. Yes we played better in 2nd half but I just don't trust Beech. Of course he won't leave so more of the same long ball rubbish is the future
All credit to the team for not giving up, but we are now going to finish 10th no matter what so please Me Beech play Scott, Charters and Dixon in the last game stop making your team selections based in the training ground and give them some pitch time.
One of the worst players for training we ever had was Sumo good job the manager back then didn't take the same attitude.
I've just spoken to an Orient fan who said that is the first time Brophy has played like that all season. He thought Carlisle deserved to win! The introduction of Mellish certainly changed the momentum of the game. Something clearly isn't right with the midfield pairing of Guy and Riley. Riley never seems to pass the ball to Guy even if it is the easiest pass to make. You can't fault Guy for hard work and effort but for me he lacks the flair which Riley occasionally shows. Maybe it's just because Guy and Riley are chalk and cheese that they don't gel together.
I know you can't take too much from post match interviews as they are what they are - pretty joyous run throughs talking about the goals after a win, acceptance of a draw or in our case Beech moaning again.
You get hacked off pretty quickly when he isn't seeing things how you seen them, baffling decisions and isn't he still going on about things that happened last year?
The fist pumping at the directors box looks like he is here to stay.
Trying to tell me that tenth is an achievement makes me want to smash things up, not get behind him - he makes it hard for me.
Fighters who go into the ring don't comment on how big and experienced the other bloke is and how hard it will be to beat them - Beech talks any club bigger than Harrogate up like this, virtually beaten before you start.
I want to hear how I see it that we are a sleeping giant that has no right kicking about in the bottom tier and should be hitting its potential of The Championship - Beech telling me how tenth is great after flogging promotion just makes me grit my teeth.
