Why don’t we just announce he’s working for us? Worst kept ‘secret’ yet that he’s now employed by the Club in some capacity.

Can’t take that long to come up with a title surely?!

Sorry, I can’t believe a word of that yarn.

What possible reason for not announcing these alleged ‘deals’? What are they, verbal contracts?

Go on Dave, or Nigel, or whomever else is reading this at the club... give us something we can use to test the truth of this claim. What positions do these ‘signings’ play? How old are they? Height? Where did they come from? What nationality?

Give us some info, if you’re not just kicking the can down the road.

In the past players generally just moved on and that was that.

Now we have players rubbishing the deals and other players signing for clubs with what you would imagine have less spending power.

Then you have Holdsworth slagging off players who reject the paltry contracts with insulting remarks.

Holdsworth needs to stop disrespecting these footballers by playing games over contracts, as said - just release them and stop pretending that popular players might be here next term when in reality most clubs from the tier below could probably better the deals offered.

I'd rather players were concerned about deals than the days of Curle or Collins when we over paid

So you believe him when he says ‘exciting deals are done but we have to stay silent about them’?

Nonsense, Beech picks the targets while Holdsworth deals with the financial side and agents. So if your basing it off the players we brought in that’s down to who Beech selects as targets. Zanzala showed more ability than any other of our strikers in the last two seasons.

Somehow I don’t think signed, sealed, delivered by Stevie Wonder is on Holdsworths playlist.

Holdsworth seems to have morphed into Clibbens with his musings now. Maybe they are being advised/having their bullshit written up by the same person.
I took the "we are waiting to announce some exciting deals when the time is right for all parties" to be about new signings, but it actually seems as if he is talking about the offers made to the existing players (there are only three left) as he then goes on to say we have made an offer to a prem player and a Scottish player. Or maybe all are just a bit thick and rambling on.
Just looks deliberately obtrusive to hide the fact that the main striker has f'd off due to his incompetence.

The Scottish and Prem League players comment seemed to suggest potential Loans?

Really hope we are not going to pin our striker options on loan players, that worked out really well the last time.

I would prefer our own project players if we are going down that route rather than some Premier League teams academy player.

Agreed, would prefer less loanees and develop our own players.

Absolute joker Holdsworth. Why is every interview throwing Beech under the bus, with apparently everything with regards signings on Beech's shoulders.

If this is the case then there is no reason for him to be here. Bristol Rovers have scrapped the D of F role, so if all on Beech, why don't we. Purepay aren't paying his wages, so time to save a few quid.

Talking of Purepay, grow a pair, and speak to the fans of your intentions.

Last season we spent £39,360 on agents fees - 14/24 teams in the league.

He frequently talks about our cautious approach to these "sharks" and how we are unwilling to make agents rich, 14/24 doesn't really imply to me that Holdsworth and the club are doing anything really different to many other clubs.

His job is to stop the manager separating the owners from their cash with requests for funds which Curle managed to do

Hence todays news, which is essentially Holdsworth telling Beech he's getting [censored] all else apart from some last minute desperado's

Definitely has that ring to it.

Hardly the most inspiring thing the club could put out there on the day they announce season ticket details.

He also said we’d secured a couple of deals - neither of which was Abrahams (who said he took just one day to make up his mind on the offer).

Talking absolute rubbish, clearly.

If the deals are done (presuming they’re the same ones he was claiming were done but couldn’t be announced yet), why can’t they be announced? Can’t see any reason for holding back on them…

Think it was mentioned that with possible Loanees that Parent Clubs like to have them in for a couple weeks to check them over before letting them go out?

Assume it’s for various tests then they can compare with any data we record on them over time…

Oh no - professional footballers are making excessive wage demands, this as never happened in football so I am glad that we have Holdsworth to sort it out for us!
