What do we think, will he be the subject of a bid in January?
If so whats he worth, what would he go for?
I'll start
1. Yes
2. Worth - 1m
3. Sell 250k with sell on clauses
Only 2.5 yr deal, surprising, really rate him or stock piling in case he makes it?
Totally expected and another example of the state of football today. He only played 11 games. McCarron similar? They looked good but had barely started before they were whipped away from us to someone's reserves for a year.
I've no doubt at least JB will go on to do well but as usual we are kept in the dark and made to feel like we don't matter. Again.
Beech knew nothing. Yeah, whatever. Undisclosed? Yeah, whatever. Club building for the future? Yeah, whatever. EWM give a shit? Whatever. New ground. Whatever. Signs of improvement.... green shoots.... progress... investment... forward thinking... No Communication again!!!! etc etc etc...f'off!
Go well jarrad. What a missed opportunity for cufc. Again.

I read somewhere that players younger than 18 can't be offered deals for 3+ years, I suspect he'll get a new deal once he turns 18 should he impress.
If we can get rid if EWMs involvement that will be some kind of result though surely.
Using it to get rid of either EWM or Jenkins and co would be a result but sadly I don't think it will result in getting rid of either
Reading a few other pages and the guesswork seems to be the fee is around the £750,000 - £900,000 mark with further amounts possible in the future dependant on appearances, etc.
No idea how much of that initial fee will be upfront and how much will be in instalments.
Not bad for a player you didn't rate frank! :-D
Hypothetical question...
If we played Everton in the lendlease at Brunton Park next seas on and he was in the team would you go down to watch him play?
If I was in Carlisle I probably would.
Personally think he will be on loan to a League 1/ Championship side next season.

No league 2 club would turn down that kind if money. Not sure what you mean by a missed opportunity.

I meant missed opportunity by the club again to engage with the fans and share their vision and plans. Yes, we were going to lose and of course I don't blame the lad going. My point was more about the lack of communication from the club. Everything we get from them is negative. The club cashed in on a prized asset, we sell other youngsters with great potential so how do the club respond and give us all a reason to believe again? Nowt. Only a depressing interview from our manager.. sorry, head coach, telling us all about how we have no money, hard to attract players, losing out on lots of targets etc.
All we can dream of is a change at the top. Without one, the club just plod on making the same mistakes.
On another note, on the Everton forum, the signing hardly registers. They aren't excited at all by him, many of them think he will be just lost in their system while a few others just use the thread to slag off cumbrians and our accents! Oh, the irony.

Same figures i was given ths morning
And the good news is that the add ons aren't Micky Mouse and if he turns out to be anywhere near as good as people think we should collect the vast majority of it within 3 years.
But the one bit that doesn't appear to be there tho is any sort of sell-on percentage.

Who gave you those figures then Barry?
A well known and respected local sports journalist that I meet up with for a coffee every now and again. Although he doesn't cover or support them he has a strong interest in Everton due to where he was born.
And what he told me pretty much marries up with what an old friend and Everton shareholder/ season ticket holder told me within 20 minutes of the deal being announced on Monday.
It may all be a big secret up in Carlisle but it certainly isn't in Liverpool hence Phillips finally getting round to posting that tonite.
Liverpool Echo said £750k + add-ons on Monday night.
So it's not a £1.5M fee plus add ons, it's £750K, which could rise to £1.5M if certain targets are met.
Bearing in mind these are probably appearance related, it is much more reaistic than was suggested.
The £750K "base fee" payment will also be over the duration of the contract, so previous point about this not being the panacea to the big debt reduction applies.
CW the details I was given are that the 750k is an immediate payment not staggered [ Another club Southampton? actually offered a larger base payment but wanted to pay it over 5 years ] the other 750k comes from a series of triggers [ 1st team debut 25.50 and 100 appearances and caps at the various international levels up to a full cap.
I don't think anyone has ever suggested anywhere that the deal had reached the 1.5m plus add ons sort of level
The fees being bandied about are £750,000 up front and the same in instalments, then there’s add ons after that, we’ve knocked back £500,000 up front already off Everton who will probably buy him tomorrow.
It’s the definition of add-ons that needs clarified.
The rumour going round was a lump up front, followed by some staggered payments THEN clauses for appearances for Club/Country were separate - These being of some serious value to us if they were achieved!
As usual, we’ll likely never know the full details...

Not saying Everton would do us, but who keeps tabs on things like when a trigger is reached. How do CU know if hes picked for certain games that impact on a payment to us.

I’m fairly sure someone within the Club will have a nice big chart with all the possible clauses we have for several Players...
Presley liked stats he wasn't good with them he failed to understand the most important stats, Goals scored against goals conceded
