He had to sell it to make ends meet after his income from the graveyard fell below 3 groats pcm :(

Please don’t mention it again Marko-o - it’s a sore subject

I’m not in it for the money, but it’s more like 720 groats.

720 groats?? A month?!

Why didn’t you say something man??

Myself, Sir Lapp, Marko and Howoldboy are holding a summit for the richest messageboarders next month on the lapping estate. We are known as the ‘M4’ but happy to make it the M5 if you are free

Topics on the agenda include

- latest headwear trends
- investing on the groat exchanges
- how to stop threads about your business getting sidetracked into absolute nonsense

RSVP ASAP

No. It’s up to 734 groats now so I’ve decided to invest it in red wine. Anyway, the rest of us are round at mine later and you’re not invited. Sorry.

Well if I’m not there, and we both know that HOB can’t do Fridays, then you won’t be quorate and therefore wasting your time if you want to get any resolutions passed…

This will be the game changer for the EV industry, the ability to fully charge a car battery in around 10 minutes.

It's not going to help that electric bus they drove from London to the Eden Project on one charge, only to find there isn't a charger in the West Country to re-charge it :D

The last thing I would do if I came into ‘life changing money “ is get involved in a football club as it doesn’t matter how much you shovel in it’s never enough and you’ll get slated on message boards and social media

At the battery day musk was saying the latest batteries have brought charging times down from 4 hours to 40 minutes so presumably that will continue to improve.
The land cruisers the UN uses have solar panels in the roof which charge batteries. It only gives a small range and it's to supplement the diesel engine, so you don't get stranded if you run out of fuel. But I think that technology will be the way forward.
But what to do about lithium? There isn't enough to sustain car production

The future must be for battery ' families ' common design and specification of varying capacity.

Pull into the battery station, and have a battery exchanged in minutes, and drive on.

Or, a combination of battery powered homes/vehicles using solar/wind and grid charging, where in rural areas linking vehicles at public events can provide a power supply.

The choice and combinations are never ending, raw materials is the weak link.

That's gambling, not investing. You should never be over exposed to only one industry or setting like that.

https://www.fidelity.co.uk/factsheet-data/factsheet/GB00BJS8SJ34-fidelity-index-world-fund-p-acc/performance

Global index tracker funds, that's how you invest. While everyone else is running around trying to beat the market, nearly all of them will lose over time, to say nothing of the opportunity cost of all that time wasted trying to do research and figure out which company to gamble their money on. Set up a direct debit to a tracker fund so you can just fire and forget. The secret of investing is to learn patience. You need to be invested long term for the magic of compounding to do it's thing, those who are constantly buying and selling will rarely outperform the market in the long term.
