Thing with any fee is, even if you know what the fee is, you don't know how it's structured.
It depends what is the core fee, over how long, what is appearance related, England caps related, so it is really unknown.
The minimum (up front) fee and the maximum (with international appearances) and sell ons would tend to be miles apart.

McCarron had his first run out yesterday. Came on for last half hour, as part of 11 changes.
Must admit to being pleasantly surprised to him. Keen to take his man on, and was lively and very positive once he settled in.

Yeah, looked promising. Great to have that level of confidence and not to be fazed by the step up.
Still can't get my head round why he wasn't playing every week for Carlisle, albeit based on 30 mins of action. Does look about 12 mind, but that's probably me!

I think it could maybe taken as a compliment to him, as they prefer the in-house training for the more junior of players. The way it was explained to me was they see training with Bielsa as more valuable than training with lesser developed coaching set ups. Also bare in mind Bielsa's teams unique playing style.
Those who are at the age that they need be playing, and those that are not going to make it, are the ones who are leaving on loan.
Edmundson won't make it at Leeds, rumoured to be going to Bradford. McAlmont highly thought of but needs games and doing well at Oldham. Gotts probably in the middle of the two. Sephens probably on his way out.

Nah, sorry, I suppose U-23 football reduces the risk of injury as well, he seemed to pick up tweaks and stuff quite a bit - looking at the dev squad page, what is the point of a keeper going on loan to haverfordwest - that's really not a signal a premier league team think you have it is it? You might as well play down the park for that level of football.

He has missed quite a few games at Leeds as well.
I still think he will make it, buy maybe at championship level. Worst thing for the youngsters was Leeds getting promoted.

Two different things Redders, so not really a true comparison. Never been a bigger gap in terms of the type of football as now. Tackling is almost outlawed in the Prem and physicality is the staple diet of L2, and that is why the players are groomed to be technical players at the prem clubs.
Also why the players coming out from the Prem and Championship on loan struggle on the whole, or teams get mullered in the Paint Pot trophy (with some exceptions).
Way too early to say whether any of the current youngsters will play at a higher level, but none were receiving the reviews McCarron was.

Good points but I think you will find they aren't getting the same coverage because other players in the club are doing really well hence where we are in the league.

McCarron was a bright spark in a poor team. Wingers catch the eye.
