Was due to be this weekend, no major surprise given the Covid situation, be plenty more teams in the same boat:

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said: “Back in early March we were planning to launch the 2020/21 kit over the Father’s Day weekend in late June, but then, of course, Covid-19 intervened.

“As an update, we are pleased to confirm that we have already received various items of the new 2020/21 replica kit and training range from Errea, and more deliveries are on the way. We will confirm revised launch timings later in June.”

Might be in the minority here but I kind of like em both, as somebody said earlier would have like to see the fox on there somewhere.

I’ve never bought anything from the club shop for years but I do like the orange away top and hoody.

It’s extremely weird times, I might purchase something :o

I went and got two home shirts (I needed one sharpish to send away as a birthday present).

Very much in two minds with the home one.

The quality seems ok, the material feels silky but not too thin, I really like the neck and from the front, it looks really smart. The fox is just below the collar at the back. The back is quite plain, with no sponsor and nothing happening but of course, will look much busier when players wear them, with number and name.

The thing I really object to is the navy material on the sleeves. I really hate that they have added another colour to the home strip, do what they want with the away, that's fine, but the home colours are blue, white with a touch of red and without a by your leave they have added navy to that. Next season it could end up navy and blue quarters like Wycombe!! Ok, a bit of an over the top reaction but for me it's a definite no, adding a colour to the home shirt without discussing it with fans.

The away one is a difficult colour to describe. It isn't as orange as it looks on the video (not Blackpool orange), nor as peach coloured as it looks on some of the photos (going to be a sod to photograph under lights). The strip on the sides looks burgundy in some lights and black in others. Personally, I really dislike it but then I just wouldn't want to wear anything that colour, that's just me. It has the same neat neck opening and I'm sure will be liked by those folk who would wear that colour.

The home shirt looks like a training top.
Agree with Bumble re adding superfluous colours, I’m too old to be buying these things now but would still be nice to have something that wasn’t shot to look at. Saw a bloke in the 2006-7 kit last week and forgot how much I liked it

Not a fan of Red in our kits. Blue and White are our colours.

Anyone for black socks? Consistent feature in early kits!

I’ve always thought a bit of red was part of our colours, perhaps because of the 1974-75 shirt. Also remember signing Stokoe’s Blue, Red & White Army in the early 80s. Prefer a barred scarf with thin red stripes in to just blue & white.

Don’t mind the new kits myself, as long as a bunch of other teams don’t have the same design.

I was told that the red was brought in because someone consistently complained to the club that the kit had no reference to the Red Rose club that Shaddongate absorbed (not everyone believes that happened). The club was sick of the constant letters etc so added red and was happy with the striking kit so kept it in. That could have been a Paddock rumour of course.

I'd be happy with the black socks, much easier to keep pristine and are traditional, just don't like any black/navy on the shirt. Also happy with blue socks, but not red and not too keen on white.

Now here's a thought, 2021/22 will be 60 years since our first ever promotion year. Blue hoops anyone?

Shaddongate didn’t absorb Red Rose as the now Carlisle United played Red Rose in a Cup Match a couple of years after the name change.

It will also be the 125th anniversary of Shaddongate United being formed. Dark blue top with a yellow sash anyone?! ;)

It was blue and white hoops for my first Carlisle game (monoloo in the F.A. Cup) so I would quite like that for next season. i buy a home most years but as I only wear them for matches and expect that restrictions will result in me being unable to attend many games this season I doubt if I will be getting this one. I do also think that there are two many clues in it with the addition of navy and red, and, I assume white numbers ; but I am pleased to read of the return of the fox.

All the secrecy eh! I presume you mean Dewhurst. Could be possible we’ve made a few signings but are waiting till the fixtures come out. Heard Gavin Reilly signed last Friday.

Yep, Dewhurst in as number 1 for next season. Currently looking for experienced number 2.

That's a shame I was hoping for either Westwood or Krul. :-D

I don't mind the different coloured sleeves as it's summat different. I won't be buying any until they're on sale anyways. Peeves me that clubs have to change both strips every 12-months. There should be at least a 2-year stay for each strip then alternate Home and Away instead of ripping folk off changing both every year.

You are not forced to buy one!

It wouldn't concern me if they brought them out more often that.. I just would not buy anymore than I do now.

Went in today to buy a shirt for my grandson. I asked if ,as previously, I could get his name & a number put on the back.
Answer no. The numbers & letters hadnt come in yet! Another missed opportunity for revenue.
Added to that they had advertised the club shop being open yesterday.
They really couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

Was it open yesterday or not?

It wasn’t originally, then was advertised as being so, so if it wasn’t there’s been some kind of balls up!
