Holohan of Hartlepool has won goal of the month for his goal against us. 53% of votes cast impressed with his calm finish from distance. Small round of applause for Gav there, and shout out to our defence for their part in his success. Its a team game

Interesting article about Colchester. Apparently fans protesting against their Chairman

From the article:

I think this year, we'd probably be around 13th or 14th in terms of our budget, which is £1.6 million.

Some of the teams at the very bottom are around £1.1 million - £1.2 million; the ones at the top are way into the twos, maybe some closer to the threes.

Thats approximately what our budget is so average performance means 13th, 14th

That really ramps up the pressure on the CUFC board. If Keith Hill manages to get a tune out of Scunny it'll be a Bullseye moment of what we could have had.

Possible, but I also thought Hill would have been a poor appointment based on the complaints of fans from his previous clubs that he created a toxic atmosphere and was very critical of fans if they didn't seem satisfied with performances, and the clincher that he was wedded to playing long-ball and knows no other way of playing (he was Beech's mentor after all).

Might get a tune out of Scunny, but if he does it by playing long-ball then it's probably fair to still say he wouldn't have helped us at all, and if Scunny now go and pass their way out of trouble then the board were indeed wrong, but I was wrong too so I'll keep quiet in such a case.

Speaking of Beech by the way, I wonder the chances that Beech will now rock up at Scunny as his assistant.

That would be interesting if Beechy help take two teams out of the Football League. Unprecedented I would think. :D

Stevenage have sacked Alex Revell leaving Keith Curle's Oldham the only club in the bottom 4 not to change their manager.

Luke Garrard must fancy his chances this time of getting a move up the A1 from Boreham Wood.

Doubt if any league team would gamble on Beech, probably end up in National League North hoping to re-start his managerial career.

2nd in National League? He’d surely be better trying for Promotion first…

Plays long ball and know no other way of playing does he?

Did you ever watch his Rochdale team? They were anything but a long ball team. His Tranmere team didn’t exactly look direct against us last season either.

Good news for us. Curle would have kept them up in my opinion.

Criticised the owner, was always going to go after that.

Agree I thought he’d keep them up - I think there’ll finish bottom now.

How does that fit in with your other prediction that we will lose every game this season?
