Carlisle United 1 Harrogate Town 1

I think the worst side was probably late eighties. Anybody we could get was playing.

Crowds were about 1900 at one point and I remember fondly a season in the Scratchers watching Wayne Entwhistle.

Having looked it up, Entwistle only made a dozen or so appearances for us during 1985-86, the season we got relegated from the old Division Two, now Championship.

Whenever John Holliday was playing was a low point - 1990 ish?

Then Colin Methven joined on loan from Blackpool and seemed like Sergio Ramos in comparison to the rest of the team.
.

Entertaining just watching him run. Seem to recall us christening him ‘Gladys’ or something along those lines.
As others have said already, it's a huge positive Alessandra is injured and Mellish suspended.

Guy and Clough have also had a nice rest and might potentially freshen things up.

I'm relatively confident we can win this game, especially if we approach things like we did for the first 43 minutes and in the final period of the game on Saturday.

We have started to look much more solid and compact of late.

If we play how we did 1st half vs Exeter I don’t see us losing.

The issue is scoring goals, I think it’ll be a 0-0 or a 1-0 to either side. Really need a goal from Abrahams or Young to get some confidence in them.
Harrogate have only kept two clean sheets all season. They’ve won one of their last six so aren’t exactly on top form. Big chance tomorrow night, and one I think we might just take.

You know what we're like breaking other teams crap runs though. Look at Jake Caprice first goal he's scored in a professional match. 322 games them along come Carlisle!

I watched Reds a lot when John Holliday was released from Carlisle and I can honestly tell you his Carlisle form carried on right on with his new club. He was one of the two worst players at the club and that was a few leagues lower as well.

I’m at a loss to this newfound confidence that we are going to win. Majority of people I speak to seem to think we will win as we are playing better, tide turned (whatever that means) and we should beat Harrogate easily.
I don’t – hope I’m wrong but don’t think I am
Harrogate are a good physical side with some good players. We haven’t got any.

We all want to be positive and have hope, of course but this week got to the point of delusion. Tide turned and we were definitely going to win. Not for me with that shower.

Not a chance. The problem has been it’ll be ok and sort itself out next game - it never does.

We sold all our good players and replaced with absolute rubbish and people think we can win games. These players aren’t capable of winning a raffle if there the only ticket in it.

We had a decent side for this level last season. We sold anyone that was half decent and offered cheap deals to resign and they never did.

And we have this situation of absolute bollocks. Exeter on Saturday we played ok but Exeter never got out of 1st gear and didn’t need too.

Walsall Saturday - we might get a ooont if we’re lucky.

January make or break for this football club
