Now the GE is done and dusted, and with MP’s returning to Parliament today to begin being sworn in, we’ve locked the GE Thread last night, and you can now use this one for any Westminster related stuff.

Anything Brexit related will be moved to the ongoing Brexit Thread!

If you are quoting, please add a link to back it up. Post without and the quote may be removed.

Thanks.

It's fun watching Cameron getting his chestnuts roasted by the Treasury committee. Greensill Capital looks like a scam (allegedly) similar to a bait and switch. You tell the bond holders that you have Airbus etc as customers and are talking to the NHS to gain credibility. In reality your main customer is Mr Gupta and his steel business losing hundreds of millions of pounds. As soon as the credit insurers realised that it was Mr Gupta rather than blue chip credit risks they naturally pulled the plug.
I can't see David Cameron getting his knighthood or life peerage after this.

I would rather vote for the raving lunatic party than the tories they are systematically taking apart all that made this a once proud nation and sadly been backed by a duped public who apparently are unaware of through ignorance do not realise what is going on.
We live in a greed driven society.

Yes, I think Dave has his arse flapping in the wind on this one, and no one is throwing him a bone.

Greed driven society ?

Where were you in the 80's ?

Selfish society, yes, but I blame social media for that, to many lack the courage to speak up, unless they are hidden behind a keyboard.

But as for greed, no, we shell out gazzillions on the NHS and social. Whenever a National charity has an event (Red Nose etc) and take Captain Tom's effort's. The people dig deep when they want to. Look at the recent flag fund raising for the Club...

On the subject of Greenshill capital, no mention is made of the SNP’s cosying up to them and Gupta for the Lochaber smelting disaster.

Bloody vile creature.

All the time lecturing people they can’t meet up, date etc while he was having it away with someone else.

Whole things bollocks anyway, one rule for them and one rule for us.
Be surprised if we don’t need a new Health Secretary by the end of the day!

I agree - any politician of high rank who is a proven cheat should have to resign ;)

You’ve got to laugh, BBC Website has a page with all the front pages from the papers shown on it each day. Guess which paper is missing? Only The Sun who broke the story!

I'd of thought having an affair was a prerequisite for a Boris govt.

He'll still be there, this lot of Tories don't give a shit about that sort of thing

Matt Hancock does`nt seem to be very good at his job so this is a good reason to get rid of him.

The problem is if we want our politicians to be faultless and above reproach we will not get many people
want to stand for public office.

That is the main reason the best men and women in this country are not in politics.

Today's Politicians are just Pup's compared to the 70's and 80's.

You were guaranteed a scandal every Sunday as another Politician or Footy player was caught with his pants down.

Hancock is doomed by his comments on the Scientist who recently got caught for similar.

I’m reminded of the Berlusconi bunga bunga quote

‘Would you rather I was gay?’

Seriously he’s got to go-his position is untenable and a source of ridicule. The definition of adultery in law requires ‘penetrative sex’ though I doubt his poor wife sees it that way watching the toe curling video.

Good job the CCTV wasn’t around when Prezza was nailing his PA in the House a few years ago. That would have plumbed the depths
