Well, I thought it'd be good to have a thread for people to put on what they are listening to at the moment. Always good to gear what other people are listening to as nothing like hearing a new band or record you don't know and it seems lots of you good people love your music.
So, to kick off I've had New Gold Dream by Simple Minds on repeat today. Can't say I cared for their later stuff but this record, well, it's just great and reminiscent of the shimmery, hazy Summer days of youth when you had not a care in the world.

Still working through my 'pile' arf - maybe worth starting a thread on 'Bands That You Used To Like But Now Sound A Bit Tat'.
I will kick off with an old favourite of mine from the Britpop era - The Stereophonics, I used to like them at the time but his voice now just grates on me, they still have a couple of good tunes but his moany voice spoils a lot of their songs, I keep waiting for him to start going on about conorovirus and budgets.

Enya makes great music for lifts.
Google Enya's house - not kidding, if it isn't one then it is like a castle, spectacular views and everything.
Orinoco Flow is obviously a cascade of cash into her bank.

Very beautiful song by a really original band who had various guises like the Maisonetes but never quite made it

Fantastic band . Never thought I would be into trad but thanks to the younger generation I am they are great , guitar solos , great vocals and sometimes bagpipes.

I cannot sleep and am bored so some music I think, I need to change the Heaven 17 Penthouse And Pavement album as great as it is it is too rousing and is making me more awake,
Some Marvin Gaye should do the trick Abraham, Martin and John is a great tune.
Got me thinking earlier, I wont reveal who but there has been two people in my house who have hit number one in the charts, one in the UK singles chart and one has played on some number one albums both here and the states, fairly recently as well.
