Well, I thought it'd be good to have a thread for people to put on what they are listening to at the moment. Always good to gear what other people are listening to as nothing like hearing a new band or record you don't know and it seems lots of you good people love your music.
So, to kick off I've had New Gold Dream by Simple Minds on repeat today. Can't say I cared for their later stuff but this record, well, it's just great and reminiscent of the shimmery, hazy Summer days of youth when you had not a care in the world.
What else have you all been listening to recently?

The Goa Express - Second Time

I vaguely remember a woman from Carlisle telling me that her son directed a music video for The Goa Express.

This song was written by a friend of mine in the 1960s. He lived over in the North East and he passed away recently. He always dreamed of being a successful songwriter and he has written some great songs. Ironically it wasn't until he was in his 70s that he had a modicum of success when this song, written when he was 15 was picked up by Netflix for the series 'The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina'.

That's my friend Alan in the photo.

Something a little slower as I come to grips with the fact that I shelled out over £300 yesterday for 2 tickets to see the Chili Peppers in June :D

By far the most money I’ve spent on tickets for a gig…

Always regretted not seeing them before Frusciante left the band, as he’s one of my favourite guitar players. The moment he came back I knew I’d have to get to see them!

Decided to pay the extra for ‘golden circle’ tickets to ensure a decent viewpoint. Massively expensive, but should be an experience to remember…

As a shy and retiring type, I've been wondering whether to give myself a bit of free publicity.

Well here goes.

These songs were written by me.

I sing on some of them but normally use session singers.

I hope the link works.

Yea I was there as well, one of my favourite 'live' albums superbly executed by Mr Hackett and Co, thought the drummer was amazing.
Good all round evening.
