£5 to watch u18 football between a league 2 and conf north sides. think I may miss that one. Watched Newcastle v Man City U18s on Saturday and that was free. The future of English football did not look good though.
It used to be £3 and £2 concessions for the Youth Cup but that's a while ago, I haven't caught a home game in this comp for a few years, either been working or we have been away.
While the likes of Newcastle can probs afford to do it for free I think it's fair enough for teams in the lower leagues to charge a small admittance. The game has to be played on the first team pitch unless you get the "special circumstances" dispensation that only the big clubs get. So there are all the costs of opening the stadium at night and a couple of stewards to pay.
I watched this about 10 times trying to work out what happened to him. At first I thought he tripped up over his teammate, but I've now decided that our big lad (no 5 if you carry on watching) has stood on his toe. **one more look** Or maybe clashed knees.
I was sitting behind the bi-line and when it happened I thought the FC 10 swung round and caught him (for me their best player but he was a bit mouthy, so I was watching, thinking he had had a go at his team mate. Seeing the youtube clip though it could be that one of ours caught him.

Cracking game last night. Could've been about 6-6 if either side could finish. Our 2 full backs impressed me (no idea of their names). Both looked good on the ball and knocked it about well. No.3 had a great left peg on him. Smallest player on the pitch (our no.4) in the middle of the park done well against far bigger lads. Got stuck in and was always wanting the ball. Skinny ugly kid upfront (11) on his own led the line well and ran his b0ll0cks off!
Only downside of the evening was shelling out 2 quid for a tea bag in a cup of boiling water and seeing Steve Patt's face sat a few rows behind me. The tosser!
Yeah, they seem not to be using squad numbers, at least for the FA Cup matches, they seem to be more wearing the number of their position on the pitch, Holt and Salkeld had different numbers last night to those they wore in the last round.
